Monthly Rentals in Pu‘uhonua Point

This location is very remote which is what I wanted for the first part of my stay. Waking up every morning to the birds and view was priceless. The house is eclectic with random notes every where lol. We went to Costco upon landing and brought all our food since there are no groceries or restaurants close. We did experience issues cooking for 2 on the hot plate burner. It just seemed to not get hot and took a long time so dinner preparations were lengthy so plan for easy meals (we only sautéed vegetables). The kitchen had most of what you would need. Olive oil, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, Salt, pepper, A few storage containers. The bed is super comfortable. The bathroom is open air so you’ll need to be comfortable going #2 with the person you stay with. :) The beach at the bottom of the hill is large smooth rocks no sand and a bit of current. I liked the natural feel of the neighborhood.

Everything was perfect! The studio magically combines Hawaiian jungle vibes with modern comfort — there's absolutely everything you could possibly need, and even more. (Like the first-aid kit, where I found plasters right when I suddenly needed one!) Mangoes hanging by the balcony, birds and cicadas singing lullabies every night, and that view — just breathtaking. I found the location ideal for exploring the island, and I really appreciated the thoughtful recommendations in the welcome folder and the Lonely Planet guide available there. The snorkeling gear was such a great bonus — especially if you prefer not to travel with your own fins or rent. As for the nearby beaches — for my taste, they’re the best on the island. I especially loved Ho‘okena Beach, just 12 minutes away — I even saw dolphins there on my very first visit! and Punalu'u 50 min's (but come early if you want see more turtles then tourists) I'm deeply grateful for everything and will be dreaming of coming back.

This property is absolutely incredible and feels like a dream! Belinda is a top-notch, five-star host. We arrived on the island at the last minute, in need of a place to stay, and she went above and beyond to help us—greeting us in the driveway and even assisting with our bags. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated in a charming vintage Hawaiian style. The shared kitchen was fully stocked, making breakfast a breeze. The highlight? Stepping just outside to pick fresh oranges and tangerines, then squeezing them into the sweetest, most refreshing juice imaginable. Surrounded by lush tropical foliage and the most adorable little green geckos, we savored our breakfasts on the lanai each morning. Days were spent exploring nearby beaches, and each night we returned to the soothing sounds of tropical birds. Very rural, with lots of wildlife. The host was very kind and responsive to any and all questions. Perfect place for a girls weekend, we enjoyed our time and location worked well as a central spot to go anywhere on the island!
