With so much to offer in the surrounding area you won't be short of things to do, and for those days when you just want to stay on site, we have a lovely pool over looking the countryside, to relax by. We are on hand to help should you need us, and are happy to provide information, help you make reservations or even join you for a glass of wine if you fancy some company!

Lakeside Retreat in Haute Vienne/Charante, France

Wooden clad Mobile Home on a lakeside retreat, fishing is allowed and we can provide rods and bait if you want to have a go. It is clean and comfortable with it's own exclusive jacuzzi and decking with views of the lake. In the countryside on the border of the Haute Vienne and Charente regions, off the beaten track yet near to amenities such as local bar, a short drive to the Charente Leisure lakes with beaches and restaurants. Rochechouart has a choice of supermarkets and a Chateau.

You will find 2 cottages, 1 of which is perfect for two people. 180 x 200 king size bed. Beautiful fully-equipped living room. Walk-in shower. Large west-facing terrace, with garden furniture and dining table. Direct access to the large heated pool in season. Bathrobes and towels will accompany you to the spa (jacuzzi and sauna). You will enjoy its large terrace and stunning views of the pond on sunny days, as well as its interior with its soft and cozy atmosphere, and its wood-burning stove for your long evenings.

Located in the countryside, in a wooded area, the cabin is 3 minutes from all amenities (bakery, organic grocery store, supermarkets, frozen food store...) and 3 minutes from the heart of Saint-Junien, (weekly market on Saturday morning, covered halls, bars, restaurants, doctors, hospital...). It is also 10 minutes from the Oradour-sur-Glane Memorial Centre and 20 minutes from Limoges, City of Arts and Fire, famous for its porcelain.

Equipped with a high-end 3-seater jacuzzi and a swimming pool (open from June to September), our accommodation will also seduce you with its 2 bedrooms with very good quality bedding and its living room with TV including Netflix. The sofa is convertible, it will offer you an extra bed for 2 people. Our house also has a Wi-Fi connection and a dedicated office space, ideal for teleworking. Close to downtown St Junien and Oradour-sur-Glane.

The beautifully restored gite lies in the heart of the country but is close to the lovely historic village of Verteuil, one of the prettiest in Charente, dominated by a magnificent chateau with restaurants, wine cellar, and a small Sunday market.
