Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Poultney

Overall we very much enjoyed modern rural space. Kiss the Cow farm about 5min drive was amazing& we got most all main food there w/ additional items from Barnard General Store. Spices/ cookware were very good - we brought nonstick pans& 1 knife to supplement. Plenty bowls, measuring cups/spoons, maybe a set of tom collins glasses would be nice albeit stemless wine and rocks glasses available. Needs garlic/onion powder. Tub was amazing/ upstairs bathroom a true getaway/ relaxing space. It was as pictured albeit note spiral staircase &open grated flooring upstairs. Plenty of windows albeit not much cross breeze so think ahead if bring own fan and/or start A/C before get too warm. I would say you must have an SUV year round for this rental - surrounding roads/ driveway are a good distance on rough dirt/gravel - traversable yet a sportier car with low profile tires/ ground clearance would not work. We enjoyed simply walking driveway& East Barnard Rd. Barnard Inn restaurant worth it.

The Barnbrook House was like something from a fairytale. It was more spacious than we thought looking at the photos. I loved my stay here, Dana was very communicative and timely. The fireplace was a great feature of the accommodation which we made good use of. I liked how there was an off grid vibe without actually being too far away from modern conveniences like Wifi, TV, AC. I would stay here again.

Brandon‘s place was very comfortable and in the downtown area on a nice piece of property. The inside was set up great!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Maya and Robert’s place! From the moment I arrived, they made me feel so welcome and at home. The home was beautifully decorated, super clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and public transportation. Maya and Robert were amazing hosts – always quick to respond and incredibly helpful with any questions I had. They provided great recommendations for things to do in the area, and their hospitality truly made the experience special. I can’t recommend this place enough! I will definitely be back next time I’m in town. Thank you, Maya and Robert, for making my stay so memorable!

I can only say wonderful things about this property! Everything was beautiful both inside and out. The house was very clean and organized and was also extremely well stocked. Anything that we needed we found in this house. And everyone in our group said the beds were very comfortable… which is very important to me! Erik was great with communication and very proactive. He sent us a note about a week before we checked in that had everything we needed to know; it was quite helpful. I highly recommend this home….and as an added bonus, the view is spectacular! You will not be disappointed if you stay here!

We loved our stay here!! It was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The property is beautiful and private but close to anything that you might need. The kitchen was super well stocked, beds were comfy, and we really appreciated the firewood supply. Nikki & Topher were great hosts - extremely responsive to all questions we had and proactive about check in/check out instructions. Would definitely come back!

Truly enjoyed our second stay at this great home. The property is very private but still close to town and great hiking. The house/property provides great family gathering spaces while allowing for solace when desired. We look forward to returning next year.

Loved our stay! Everything was cozy and easy; no issues at all. The heated bathroom floor ended up being one of our favorite parts (so nice!), and the whole place just felt super relaxing. Didn’t need to contact the host because everything was smooth from start to finish. Would definitely come back!

Amazing view, great and comfy Airbnb. The hot tub is such a nice plus with the incredible view over the mountains. It was so well equipped we had most of our meals in the Airbnb because the kitchen was so functional. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

Wonderful peaceful spot, affordable and gorgeous location! Great response time and super cute (and really quiet) doggers peeking at us in the window when we were leaving. Great spot!

The Yellow Door Inn was exactly what I needed for my little getaway from the craziness of my life!! You are surrounded by art, and comfort that is difficult to find. I felt at peace the moment I arrived and my doggos also loved the large yard and access to the Salem Art Works!! Klara and Greg are great hosts, they responded very quickly and were so so kind to me during my stay. If you are staying in Salem, I would 1000% recommend the Yellow Door Inn. You will not regret it! I know I will most definitely be back next time I stay in the area. It was hard for me to leave and head back home, because I felt I was already home…

It was a wonderful stay. Whether you’re just looking to relax or for a little adventure this stay offers it all. Even though it was a rainy stay they offer plenty of movies, books and games.

Great place with beautiful surroundings! Very close to the lake and town (which had some very good restaurants). The house was perfect for us and the bed was very, very comfortable! Location was also within an hour of some great places in the Adirondacks. Host was very responsive to any issues/questions we had, and while they are close, they left us to do our own thing. Would definitely stay again if I have the chance!

Wonderful peaceful spot! Flowing River in the back of the house and beautiful lake and mountains in the front across the street. Kayaks & paddleboat available but unfortunately I wasn’t able to use them this time but I will be back! Thanks Doc!

Best place we ever stayed! Mara was amazing and we had the best two days there. We got to spend time with friendly horses, cats, and chickens. We saw a bald eagles nest nearby, too. Front of the house was a peaceful farm vibe and the back was a gorgeous river view off the back deck. We enjoyed grilling our dinner and eating out back while watching the sunset. The deck lights were a nice touch. Simply stunning! Indoor fireplace was so nice too. Definitely book this place if you’re thinking about it! We will be back for sure!

The perfect place for our family’s ski trip. The cabin is exactly what you picture for a winter VT trip. Charming log cabin with a wood burning stove, but with all the modern comforts. We were only 5 minutes from Okemo and the hot tub was amazing after long ski days. Locked ski locker on the porch was convenient. Great kitchen so we could cook breakfast and hit the slopes early. The host gave clear instructions and lots of helpful recommendations - very friendly and quick to respond. Fire wood and log starters made the cabin cozy at night. Despite all the snow, the driveway was well plowed. It’s a quiet dead end road without traffic. We will definitely be back!

This place is a Gem. Peaceful and calm. It’s always great to return to this great place.

Our stay was incredible! The view by the stream was amazing, everything was so peaceful and perfect. Inside the cabin was exactly what we expected, very homey, everything we needed. We loved the walls lined with books! Kevin was very attentive towards what we needed - it stormed all day Saturday and he brought a second heater for us because the temperature dropped, which with that and the gas fireplace, kept the place perfectly warm and comfortable. He was also very accommodating in allowing us to stay an extra night since our plans of hiking all weekend were thwarted by the rain. We went for my husband's 40th birthday and i couldn't have picked a better place to get away from the stress of life. We plan on going back for sure!

Our stay at George’s cabin was peaceful and serene! The cabin was exactly as described and shown in the photos. The view was unbeatable and photos simply do not do it justice. We loved waking up to have coffee on the deck and taking in the view. The location was also ideal as it was secluded but within a short 15-20 minute drive to nearby towns to explore, eat, and shop. George was a great host who answered questions I had prior to booking and all communication and interactions throughout our stay were positive and informative. I highly recommend staying at George’s if you’re looking for a gem in Vermont!

Agnes was very responsive and thoughtful as a host. The house was cozy and comfortable. Everything was fresh and clean. My wife and I had a lovely romantic getaway and I would highly recommend!

Wow! This cabin literally felt like a slice of heaven in the Green Mountains. While being close to town, and easy enough to find and access, we were secluded and nestled amongst the trees and a flowing creek. We felt safe and secure. The wifi was fast and we were able to make calls and send texts. We were thrilled to find a Vermont Country Store just ten minutes down the street, and would highly recommend going! Shaw's grocery store in Ludlow was also surprisingly good, and we enjoyed many unexpected finds. This is notable as many of the businesses in Ludlow appear to be seasonal, and you may end up cooking back at the cabin. This is thankfully easily accomplished as the kitchen is pretty large, with ample cabinet space and new stainless appliances. The cabin had a nice outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove, which both made for a wonderful ambiance. Also, of note, the water out of the sink was delicious, and cold. No need to buy bottled water while you are staying. Thank you!

Everything included for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Definitely recommend this host, home, and location. This one is a gem!
