This place is like coming home in another country.

I have traveled to many cities, I have stayed in many hotels and inns; I have seen and felt that it is genuine attention but I have never bought attention as warm as that of Candida and Diago. I was amazed by the simple and beautiful decoration, and by how clean and tidy all the spaces were. I think Diago (the multifaceted manager) is a magician, he has a gift that God has given him and he has used that gift to serve the guests. If I ever go back to Espinho I will not hesitate to stay in this charming place. I loved every second I was here. Thank you for all the attention...

Loved everything about this place. Inês was a wonderful host, she was friendly and welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The property is a beautiful oasis, perfect for a countryside retreat. I couldn’t recommend this place more (If I could give 6 stars, I would!)

This Baroque-style mansion, which has a chapel dating back to 1618, is a real wonder. This is a family home, keeping its character and charm of yesteryear intact, where everyone can retreat peacefully under the trees or by the pool. Inês and her husband are always available and you will get good advice from them - you can discover in Marco de Canaveses an excellent little restaurant: the "Bodeguita do Bom Retiro" - but they will also let you live your life. Hosts will be able to shop, prepare meals in the kitchen, and feel at home with longtime friends. The house is surrounded by vines and hills. The breakfast with scrambled eggs and fruit is generous, the jams and lemonade are exquisite. From this large residence you can one day visit the Douro Valley and another the city of Guimarães, birthplace of Portugal, both classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site...

We loved our stay at Marta's from the moment we arrived! Marta is very organized, helpful and very generous with sharing her house and all its amenities with guests. We played ping pong, did some yoga, made excellent breakfasts and even got to pick fresh lemons from her tree! Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, Marta was happy to let us leave luggage after checkout time since we had a late flight. Hope to make it back here one day!

I had a very nice stay with Ines and her husband. Staying in her old house was something very special. The room is spacious and the bed was very comfortable. As shown in the photos, the pool and the large garden are a dream and particularly noteworthy are the great breakfast on the terrace with everything your heart desires as well as the warm hospitality of Ines and her husband. Thank you for that! I felt very welcome as a solo traveler. The whole area is beautiful and romantic, a stay there is definitely worth it!

We were on our way from Porto and spent three wonderful days with Ines and her husband. It was fantastically beautifully located, the rooms and the ambiance as from old times and Ines and her family rounded everything off with their warmth. Thank you 😊

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

The room was spacious and spotless, the place is nice and quiet and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the pool anymore because it was quite cool. I would recommend it to families with little ones who want to hike around the area, which is very beautiful.

We really liked it, pity for time, the house is very cozy, furniture according to the style. Full and hourly breakfasts, value- perfect price. Very good host

I enjoyed the Watermark very much. Hosts Rui and Ricado were always accommodating. Gave me tips in the area. Furthermore, you were always available (for questions) via text. The place was clean and you could connect with other and do things together. The surf and skate lessons with Luís were particularly good. 🤙🏼☀️ It was very good that you only had to walk a few steps around the beach from the property with the surfboard. 🏄‍♂️ The week in Espinho was very worthwhile for me. Albino has put a lot of passion into the space, giving it a special charm. In addition to the additional living room and courtyard, the accommodation is also ideal for a romantic vacation for two with some technical finesse. It was all very clean. Albino is a very friendly man who took enough time to introduce the accommodation and was easily accessible or responded quickly in case of questions. We enjoyed the time in the accommodation in a quiet location and nice neighborhood and would be happy to come back on occasion.

One of the best stays we've ever had. Both the house and the room besides beautiful, were impeccable. Fred is super kind and helpful. We feel at home All clear, organized, and exactly like in the pictures. Nothing to complain about! We will definitely return and refer it to friends.

We had a great stay here. For location,its not far from the center only 25 mins walking away and we got access to different kind of bars,Cafes and shops. Or we could just easily to Bolt to drive us to anyplace from the house. The house is absolutely clean and looks so beautiful and stylish. The hosts of this house were so friendly and helpful and communite and responsive. We booked the Amor room and it has a bright space and excellent balcony. The breakfast included is a surprise every you started the day. Lovely garden,lovely house and absolutely lovely Porto city!
