Vacation rentals near Portland Parish

We reached out to Andrew prior to leaving Kingston. His housekeeper was waiting for us on the verandah, even though it was raining. We liked her instantly. The properly was more than we expected. Spacious, tastefully decorated, very clean with all the amenities required for an enjoyable stay. Our extended family passed by and asked how we found such a place. With a smile we shared the link. Many thanks Andrew and Ms. Pam...we will be back.

The campsite is awesome, it was great for both adventure or just simple rest & relaxation, we enjoyed both and the food is excellent too. The river on site is beautiful and great for a dip. The community was very walkable too, lots of wild flora, great for plant and nature lovers, we collected a few. People in the area were really nice, had some good & interesting conversations. Many compliments to Michelle who welcomed us and made sure we were comfortable and settled, also to Ingrid who is an excellent cook, they were freindly and courteous and made the experience better. Harcourt was an excellent host, he made sure we were able to get to the site easily, and he provided all the information we needed and even made recommendations on places we could explore, we found a bridge and a waterfalls! We wished we could have stayed longer, it was a great vibe.

Absolutely loved staying at this house! Denise was super responsive and Craig was awesome brining us coconuts, helping cook breakfast and dinner, and showing us around the area. He was great company as well!

This is one of the most beautiful experiences I've had in all my years of travelling. I arrived solo and getting here was a bit of a challenge, but AK and Troopa have been super responsive and helpful the whole time. I have been to a few parts of Jamaica before, especially Negril and Montegobay were overwhelming and touristy and then I came here and felt like it was another world. So peaceful and beautiful, the people are so nice. You feel like you really experience the real Jamaica. Troopa has been the BEST host, I truly felt at home at his place and can honestly say I have gained a good friend. He showed me around, cooked some delicious food and even took me to a local party. He gave me the full experience of true Jamaican culture and I could not be more grateful. His place is also beautiful, with amazing views of the sea from the room and terrace and just a 2 minute walk to the beach that I had to myself most of the time. His sister in law also cook amazing food in her restaurant.

As mentioned continuously by the host, it’s a very rough drive to get to the location. Once you get there you’ll have no need to leave. It is the utmost private and relaxing location that I have ever been to. The ambiance is everything and the view is AMAZING. The place was well stocked and we followed the host’s recommendations to purchase cookable meals. The amenities are top tier and are easy to operate. I will definitely be back at this location!

The accommodation is great. If I say it met expectations I'd be lying, in fact, it was better than we expected! It was me, my wife and my daughter, an 8-month-old baby and the house was perfect for us! Comfortable room, clean bathroom, and very well-equipped kitchen! Roseanna responded very quickly when we needed her and Wayne was also always ready to help us. The beach behind the house is also worth a visit! In addition, it is very close to other attractions in the region! In short, I recommend this accommodation! Everything was great!

I had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Bird Bliss. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The communication with the hosts Joy and Shell was smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and given a thorough tour of the property. The property was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was absolutely perfect, it’s two minutes away from rafting on the Rio Grande, going west, it’s five minutes from to Somerset Falls and going east it’s eight minutes to the Shan Shy Beach. I enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great dining options nearby. My overall experience was nothing but amazing. I highly recommend this property when visiting Portland. Thank you Joy and Shell for being super hosts and for such a memorable stay. I will definitely be back

I had the most incredible time staying with Rass at Fairy Hill. He is the kindest, warmest most generous host. Rass's house is the most wonderful and magical place, and the perfect experience to step away from the busy normal rat race nonsense. Rass devoted his time to ensure I had the experience that I wanted and gave me so many options. My highlights? Rass's cooking on the wood fire and preparing our food in his interactive kitchen, listening to the soundtrack of the day which Rass filled with the very best old school dub reggae tunes played on his sound system in the back garden mixed with the jungle chorus at night time, and finally just the sense of calm, relaxation and mind cleansing that took over as soon as I walked through the door. Rass is genuinely one of life's good guys and I am grateful that I got the chance to meet him and experience his amazing home. I will be going back to visit as soon as I can.
