cosy well-equipped village home facing a garden with a large variety of plants, where a well and a garden bench engraved with antique tiles are prominent features. Walking/cycling to the lake or contemplating the starlight skies at night are exhilarating experiences. Ideal for long-term stays for anybody wanting a quiet place to work. Good wi-fi. I live with 2 cats in the studio with the entrance door via the garden which I look after but leave to private use of guests. Other pets are welcome.

It is located in the center of the medieval village of Portel, Central Alentejo, Portugal, 12 km from the nearest river beach and 15 km from Marina Amieira, both located in the municipality of Portel and next to Lake Alqueva. Closest cities are Évora, 40 km north, a World Heritage Site (UNESCO), and Beja, 40 km south, with good access by car or bus via the IP2 road.

Monte da Luz is 4 km from the village of Alqueva by dirt road, 6 km from the Alqueva river beach. The map of the location of the Monte da Luz that appears does not exactly match your location, because there is no official address that defines it.
