The little blue house is exactly what one needs. Has a working kitchen, quiet, and best of all the beach is right there. It was nice to have a peaceful place to return to after busy excursions into the cities or whatever else. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely visit again

Cabinas El Ceibo was a great place for our family group of seven (all adults) to stay--close to the beach, a kitchen to be able to make food, and our own space to be together. The kitchen had a blender, which we loved, as we bought fruit and made our own smoothies several times. It also had other necessary items (frying pans, spatulas, salt & pepper) to be able to cook breakfast. A sharper knife to cut fruit would have been nice, but we made do with the dull ones. The house is one of several in a small area with a gate that leads directly to the beach. Attached to the washer is a spinner to remove excess water before hanging clothes on the lines next to the house. Very convenient. The Spanish-speaking family (& friendly dog) that lives next door takes care of the place and gives you the keys when you check in. The monkeys throw mangos on the roof early in the morning. Startling the first time. Also, we left shoes on the beach without someone watching them and two pair went missing.

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed here for a group birthday party of 12 adults and it fit our needs perfectly for our mix of couples and singles.
The area of Potrero was exactly what we wanted, not too busy, but with some good restaurants and a close by market for essentials. The house itself is at the end of a quiet street and very peaceful. The elevated pool is a really unique feature and we made good use of it to watch sunsets and generally relax. Marvin the caretaker kept the house very clean, and Alexa our host helped us arrange several excursions, as well as a private chef who cooked the birthday dinner, highly recommend! We did the following excursions: Rio Celeste tour, which included a trip to see sloths in a wildlife preserve; ziplines; a private yoga session on the patio overlooking the ocean; and a tour of a coffee roaster. All were excellent, with great tour guides / hosts, and the whole group loved them. Thank you so much for a great experience

Very nice stay, the host was always friendly and attentive. It had everything we were looking for and a lot of comfort. We highly recommend it.

This place is big and perfect for a long stay, or short vacation. It had everything we needed. Beds were super comfortable and it’s in a quiet area with a beautiful balcony to bird watch. The beach and beach club were very easy to get to. I one even offered us the use of his golf cart while we were there. The service at the restaurants was amazing. Tom was a fantastic host. He always responded promptly and answered my questions and offered recommendations whenever we needed them. We were able to park in a spot very close to the condo which made coming and going and carrying luggage easy. Highly recommend staying in Tom’s place. You will not be disappointed

Great condo, plenty of space and easy access to the beach via shuttle! Comfy beds and all amenities you need ! I would love to stay again!

The house was amazing, everything we needed and more, the beach access was on point, the pool the kids enjoyed to the fullest, I slept on the hammock all 5 nights there, not one mosquito bite, the breeze and sounds of the waves were out of this world, waking up to all the birds sounds and ocean was an amazing to me, Vanessa was fabulous and very nice and on top of all beautiful 😍 I recommend this house like no other and will come back next year for sure. PURA VIDAAAAAA!!!!

We had a fabulous time at Casa Bella Catalina. Everything was as described and even better than the pictures. The beach is not crowded, the pool is very functional with a long section for swimming laps and a smaller gently sloping area great for kids, the outdoor landscaping is immaculate and offers lots of privacy, and the outdoor kitchen is perfect for cooking for a family. We had 8 adults and 2 kids, and there was plenty of space for us to spread out, relax and have fun. The concierge was very professional and responsive, and a cleaning service came twice while we were there. We also felt the area was safe with lots of local restaurants and activities to take advantage of. One recommendation to others considering this rental is to take advantage of the grocery stocking service. While the kitchen has all the pots and pans and cooking implements you could need, there weren’t any pantry items beyond salt, pepper, and sugar. However, there is a grocery store within walking distance.

We loved this place! The views are stunning! I could sit on the decks for hours just staring at the view and listening to the waves. We made a big breakfast and ate it on the deck one morning…breath taking.. You even have a view while showering in the master bath! The best beaches are within minutes- Playa Flamingo & Playa Conchal. I ran to Playa Flamingo beach in 10 minutes. The sunsets from Playa Flamingo beach were amazing! The infinity pool was fantastic to come home to at the end of a long day out. I wouldn’t hesitate booking this place again.

Wonderful house, location and communication! Will definitely return for a future visit!

This Villa felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, beautifully landscaped, birds, iguanas, gecko's, and monkeys. The pool was serviced every morning and was a lifesaver for us in the heat. The boat taxi picked us up 50 yards away and the neighborhood was peaceful . Very close to several excellent restaurants, a great little grocery store with decent prices and a fresh fruit and vegetable stand . The beach was wide and uncrowded. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Brandon’s place was exceptionally beautiful. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The pool table got a lot of use! The views from the balcony were stunning. I would argue that these were the best sunset views in the entire town! The front balcony offered sunrise views as well! We spent most of our time on the rear balcony, enjoying those views. It was clean, easy self check in and the property manager Allen was very responsive and helpful in setting up excursions! We wished we could have stayed another week! PARADISE! This will by far be one of the most beautiful villas we have ever stayed in. Not only did it match the pictures perfectly but it exceeded our expectations in every way possible. The tide pools were the best we have ever seen- so many colorful fish and we even saw a little octopus! The kids loved swimming in the pool and in the ocean and we felt like kids again. Kim was a great host and greeted us upon arrival to show us the layout of everything and the security guard was so friendly and I felt really safe with my 11 year old and two children under 2 being there. FIVE star location. Close enough to Tamarindo to experience everything it has to offer, but far enough away to stay away from the crowds. We loved every minute of it and wish we could’ve stayed longer.

This house is situated on a fantastic, uncrowded beach. It stretches on for long beach walks, the sand is soft, the waves are perfect for boogie boarding, and the water temperature is warm. Each day of our stay we boogied boarded for hours with maybe 15 other people in sight. In the evening there are beautiful sunsets. The outdoor space of the house is great for cooling off in the small pool or relaxing in the hammock. The house is located in a gated community inhabited by tourists, so in order to experience authentic Costa Rican restaurants or culture one must drive to a neighboring town about 15 minutes away. The house itself is as described but be aware no amenities (shampoo) are provided with the exception of small soap discs. The beach itself made our stay wonderful.

We had a wonderful time! The place was exactly as pictured, clean and had great views! The activities and pool were only a short walk. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. I would absolutely recommend staying at Stephen’s place!

This is an amazing condo, beautifully decorated and supplied with everything you need. The location was absolutely perfect, walkable easily to Tamarindo with grocery stores, shops and restaurants. The staff for the condo were always helpful and so, so friendly!! This condo does not disappoint, excellent place to stay!!! Rafa was an excellent host and gave us great tips on excursions!!!!

Great location! We had a golf cart to buzz around town which was fun. Pablo was wonderful in helping us check-in (he even came to meet us to help us get checked in and gave us a quick tour) Condo was perfect for the 4 of us and we had a great time!

This place was absolutely perfect for our surfing trip!! Private beach access, beautiful yard looking out to the ocean and spacious home. The hostess was responsive and communicative and very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. I hate to write this review as I don’t want anyone else to know about the place as I would like to keep it to ourselves next year. ☺️. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Absolutely a wonderful place and wonderful hosts!!

A wonderful vacation for us. Steps right down to the beach and a beautiful natural setting with plants and animals everywhere. Very much enjoyed our time with Antonio and he was great interacting with our kids. Deborah and Robert really went the extra mile to help us get situated too.

Kathleen’s place is really beautiful. The views from the decks are amazing. The kitchen was great. Everything you needed. New shiny appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well in the bedrooms and the main floor was the perfect temp with the ocean breezes. Great showers with plenty of hot water. We loved being right on the beach. It is a big place where we were all able to find our own place to be. The beach is lovely, good waves for boogie boarding and jumping waves. There are kayaks to use which is nice as well. Great restaurants on the beach that you can walk to on the beach. We went to the Beach House and it was delicious! I highly recommend Kathleen’s place!

Beautiful place right in front of the beach. Well equipped and looked just like the pictures. We did not have any issue in our stay. Fully recommended if you are looking into a private place with beach access
