The cabin is located midway between the Twin Cities and Duluth on I 35. And just nine miles east of Hinckley on Hwy 48 in Cloverdale. Our website has lots of information about our area. A long driveway to the only cabin on a tiny peninsula connected by a very narrow driveway. A small, shallow private lake (no fish or motorcraft) crystal clear water. A row boat is available. Several marked walking trails throughout the property. An ideal place for reflection and enjoying nature. You will be off the beaten path. Out of respect for those who are looking for a natural retreat with lots of wildlife: No Pets, Children, Smoking

The Cardinal Cabin

Our cozy cabin is located under tall pine trees on a beautiful, northern lake where loons and eagles frequent. Wood Lake is easily commutable - 80 miles from the Twin Cities. Swim and fish off the dock or pontoon during the day, and sit in front of the stone fireplace at night. The Cabin has been completely remodeled, with a modern kitchen and new furnishings. It is also equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi with access to many streaming services. The Cardinal Cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat!

Unwind at our cabin in the woods! Located only an hour north of the Twin Cities, enjoy great fishing and gorgeous views with riverfront access or retreat to the electric barrel sauna. Cabin also includes a screened in front porch with a private hot tub and plenty of space to gather. It is only 90 min north of Minneapolis and 50 min south of Duluth located on Sturgeon Island on Sturgeon Lake. Fish right from the dock, Kayak & paddle board, or bring your own boat! Grab a cup of coffee and watch the loons right from the deck, unwind & simply enjoy being in nature at Sturgeon Island A-frame!

The whole group will be comfy in this spacious and unique spot in the pines. The overhead door is the only “garage” thing about it! There are plenty of activities in the area, or stay right on our nearly 15 acres of forested land to relax and walk or ride our trails through the trees. We’ve added a screen for the garage door opening. Now you can roll up the garage door to feel like you’re outside! The screen cords have been damaged so it will no longer retract, but works great down!
