Once we found the Puente Tono we were quickly able to find the lodge. It's tucked back and away from the town and nestled right in a hillside. The grounds were wonderful and our cabin was spotless. With a nearby river to explore and nice hiking trails right off the property there was always something to see. We hung out during the evening with the kind folks running the place. It was everything we wanted in a rustic jungle stay.

After settling confusion about cost (an Airbnb glitch, turned an unbelievable value into a very affordable one) we embarked on a phenomenal adventure! Fernando arranged a van and driver who turned out just great! We saw tarantula, tons of monkeys, birds, spiders, insects, trees, flowers, fungi, serene raft ride, swam in the river, night hike.... It was the perfect first jungle experience for all 7 of us- age 22-55. Would highly recommend.

We had a very relaxing time staying with Carolina! The cabin was spacious and offered a beautiful view with a hammock to relax in. We saw many beautiful birds from the balcony 🦜🐦 The pool was a lifesaver during the heat of the day 🌞 Typically we went for a morning walk to enjoy the beautiful surrounds, then retired to the pool to unwind during the rest of the day - very relaxing! They made us dinner each night of local dishes, which were delicous! We also had the opportunity to join a small tour group and go into the jungle for some hikes, staying two nights there. Overall, we would go back and highly recommend staying with Carolina and Oliver 🙂

Es war eine überwältigend schöne Erfahrung: da das Zimmer nur mit Moskitonetze, ohne Fenster vom Djungel getrennt ist, bekommt man nachts die gesamte Geräuschkulisse mit, und kann tagsüber die vielen Vögel und Schmetterlinge beobachten, dies auch von der Terrasse oder von der kleinen Küche aus. Die Gastgeberin ist äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit, spricht sehr gut Englisch, hat ausgezeichnete Biologie-Kenntnisse und ist im Umweltschutz engagiert. Sie führte uns auf die zahlreichen Wanderwege, welche um das Resort angelegt sind. Sie führte uns auch zu den Vögel-Beobachtunsstellen in der Umgebung. Wir bezahlten sie für die Zeit, die sie sich für uns nahm. Sehr sauber und neu. Schwer zu finden, aber dies sollte demnächst korrigiert sein. Im Djungel z. T. etwas abenteuerliche Fahrt, dennoch für unseren (tiefen, 2WD) Toyota Yaris kein Problem.

Very nice place to stay within close reach of Manu Biolodge. An unaffiliated but excellent restaurant is operated on the uppermost floor for extreme convenience. Included locked parking area was appreciated for ease of mind.

wil je rust in de natuur, dan is dit de plek! het hutje was zoals aangegeven een nette wc en een douche aanwezig. er is geen WiFi of elektriciteit. hou er rekening mee dat je zelf dient te koken. de keuken in minimaal maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt (wij hebben pannenkoeken gegeten als ontbijt). op 10/15minuten varen is een dorpje met een supermarktje waar je eten kunt kopen en daar is ook wifi. vraag jhohan of hij je die kant op wilt brengen en dan komt het helemaal goed. De hotspring was super! (je kan zelf de warmte bepalen) en op loopafstand is een waterval waar je ook kunt zwemmen. je zit echt afgezonderd van de wereld, zeer fijn als je tot rust wilt komen tussen de natuur. met Jhohan kun je ook op excursie. vraag hem wat mogelijk is. Jhohan kan goed genoeg engels om hem te kunnen begrijpen, hij was vriendelijk en bij vragen konden we altijd bij hem terecht. wij hadden niet door dat we zelf avond eten moesten regelen. De eerste avond heeft hij heerlijk voor ons gekookt!

We had a really great stay here. Before we were even there, we had a great communication and already a lot of infos about the way to the place etc. The place was really nice and Melva and Darwen were really helpful in terms of activities we could do around the place. All in all it was a really nice and calming stay with a lot of help from the two, I think they’re one of the best hosts you could probably have:)

Questo appartamento ci ha soddisfatte in pieno! ti trovi in mezzo alla selva, nella tua capanna di bamboo e la doccia quasi all'aperto, ci sono le zanzariere ma sei praticamente in comunicazione con l'esterno, se questo fa per voi sarà bellissimo. C'è una zona per cucinare, la sera attira un po' di scarafaggi essendo all'aperto ma è molto funzionale, annesso una zona con tavoli, amaca e poltrone, tutto all'aperto ma riparato dalla pioggia. A pochi passi puoi trovare una piscina naturale calda, magnifica, e poco più lontano delle cascate. Johan può accompagnarti per delle escursioni in giro per la riserva, consiglio di farne almeno una! noi ci siamo rilassate e siamo state in contatto con la vera realtà del Manu, grazie johan :)
