Great location with spectacular reviews. Wifi in the house could be improved as signals are pretty weak. Enjoy our time here every year and look forward to being back in 2026.

Had a great stay! It felt super comfortable. We had the easiest check in, we’ve ever had on Airbnb which was a plus after a long drive. The rooms/beds were comfortable and spacious. The washer & dryer was great along with the hot tub. It was super easy to come and go with the check in. There is 1 place that’s mainly a bar with food & that’s about it for food nearby. i’d say that’s the only con but given the area of wv it’s understandable just buy groceries! had a great stay, would come again.

This place is great for a large group it has everything we you could possibly need and a few extras! Definitely worth the price! close to some outlaw trails and spearhead. Andrew quickly responded every time I would message super friendly! Definitely booking again next time we’re back !

Staying in Marion, where I was born, was such a special experience! We spent two nights here, and from the moment we arrived, Kim made sure everything was perfect—she even surprised us by getting the pool ready early. The house itself is beautiful and absolutely spotless, making it feel like a true home away from home. Our boys were thrilled to have their own rooms, but the real star of the weekend was the pool. As soon as they dipped their feet in, they were hooked! The warm weather made it even better, and they were so excited that they started swimming at 6:30 AM the first morning—talk about dedication! Beyond the incredible hospitality, the location is ideal—just steps away from food and coffee, making everything so convenient. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you so much!

The host was very responsive and flexible. We rented the house for a work project and it was very nice to have a place that felt more like home to come back to after a long day. Unfortunately our stay was before the pool had fully opened but the sound and views of the Jackson river was very peaceful while relaxing on the porch each evening. I would definetly stay here again for future projects in the area. I would recommend future guests to plan to bring or buy additional tolietries and cooking essentials (oil, sugar, coffee, etc) for extended stays.

We had a great time staying at Dwayne’s place! Beautiful views of the lake in the evenings and plenty of golf courses within a 30 minute radius. Will definitely be back!

Our stay was very enjoyable. Unfortunately the weather was a bit chilly for the pool but the hot tub was great and so was the fire pit. Everything we needed was provided from the kitchen amenities to games to wood for the fire pit. Everything was clean and well stocked. We had a wonderful time and appreciate the attention to detail!! This was hands down our favorite air bnb to date. We don’t travel often, but the attention to detail in the decor and design was next level to create a fantastic vibe and homely feel to our stay. Lots of local suggestions and resources, a fantastic location, and we would 100/10 stay here again if we’re coming through!

Special VT graduation weekend made even more special with our stay at Walnut Hill Lodge. The house was immaculate and well equipped for a family retreat. The mountain views out the windows and from all the surrounding decks were spectacular. We watched the farm dogs herd sheep from one pasture to another, and appreciated the beauty of the surrounding working farm. Michelle was a great host with wonderful recommendations for the local market and waterfall hike. Thanks for a memorable stay at your property.

Absolutely loved our stay at this cozy Airbnb! The place was peaceful with stunning views, and perfectly located. We had a blast exploring the beautiful New River Gorge National Park & Preserve. Would definitely recommend to others!

We were in the area for our son’s wedding and LJ Manor was the perfect place to stay. We loved the character of this historic home and found it very comfortable as well. Erica and Jay were very prompt in responding to our needs and were gracious hosts. I highly recommend staying here. We hope to return!

What a beautiful spot. Loved sitting on the back porch and listening to the bull frog sing. If you are looking for a peaceful private spot , this is it. Cheryl thought of every little thing for convenience and comfort. Loved the separate thermostat for the bedroom and the bed was soooo cozy. Definitely check out Sandstone Falls and the local parks. I would go back in a minute.

Lovely place! Close to everything. Very clean & looks just like the pictures.

Incredible value! We had rock climbers/boulderers with us and have never been so close to roadside boulder problems. The telescope and mountain vista made it the perfect place to unwind after a day of climbing.

Great place, my family loved it. The host was very responsive and easy to talk to. The Airbnb was clean, pretty, and had a lot of room. The view was also amazing! The only thing is that you need to make sure to continue along a gravel road to get to the house which was a little confusing at first, but overall great stay and would highly recommend!!

Kyra was a great host. She was very quick to respond and offered input on local things to do in the area in case we had extra time. She also left firewood to have a little fire. The house was beautiful and very clean and had all the kitchen utensils to make it easy and feel like home. We loved our time here.

Such a serene beautiful setting. The geese, the 2nd floor view of the lake and trees and the separate spaces for my daughter and I made it a peaceful way to awaken into the spring day. Thank you for such a special experience!

We had such a wonderful time! The home was clean and beautiful, plenty to do there at the home and in the surrounding areas. Even with the many homes on the street, it felt private and relaxing the entire weekend. The host, Joe, was also so friendly! He gave us a tour when we got there, was extremely helpful, and he even helped us start our fire in the fire pit when he saw we were struggling. Wonderful place, great hospitality, would absolutely book this place again! Thank you Joe!

If I had to describe this Airbnb, I’d call it one of the more thoughtful I’ve ever stayed in - both in being well-considered, and being genuinely comforting. From cookies for myself and my party, and Andes mints on the beds, to USB flashlight bars by the couch and fire-starting supplies, the little touches added up. The kitchen was stocked with what many places overlook: oil, Pam, sharp knives, and even Tupperware. There were more than enough towels and pillows, there were bedside tables with outlets on top, and full-length mirrors. The stairs down to the fire pit were lit, which made evenings by the water feel easy and welcoming. The three season room was wonderful, as well, for those of us who attract some bugs, but enjoy the sound of the nearby rapids, and wind. The home was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly located for a visit to the nearby National Park (New River Gorge). The host was also very responsive - when we had a question about the dishwasher, they replied within minutes!

Had a great one-night stay here with my husband, two cats, and one-year old! Extremely cozy, felt like I was back in my grandmother's farmhouse. I especially liked the kitchen with all the vintage Kellogg's cereal bowls and Corelle golden butterfly flatware, and so on. Very cute extra touches, such as the little children's playroom in the back that was well stocked with toys. The only caveat is that if you're traveling with adventurous cats, make sure they don't get behind the furnace in the living room fireplace - there's a hole there and they might slip down into the basement(?) to which guests don't have access. I kept my two cats locked in one of the bedrooms to make sure this didn't happen!
