Beautiful home on the peaceful Hamakua Coast. Our family enjoyed a wonderful and quiet staycation - the pool was delightful and temp was just right with the cool ocean breeze. Kitchen was stocked with basic essentials making cooking easy. Very comfortable sleep spaces - cool breeze at night with windows open. Loved every minute! Suzy was very friendly and responsive. The grounds were so beautiful - lots of flowers and fruits surrounding us. I highly recommend this home as your next getaway. I will stay here again. Thank you Suzy and Peter!

The grounds are stunningly beautiful, and so is the house. We had lovely ocean views in some of the bedrooms, and having air conditioning in the common area was appreciated with our group of mostly middle-aged women. The beds were super comfortable, we loved the private bathrooms in each bedroom, and the house was well appointed. The check in and check out process was easy peasy. We interacted with two women (Moon and June), both of whom were lovely and very responsive–especially June. There were a couple issues with some of the appliances, and we weren’t able to use them during our stay. But June and Moon made up for it in other ways. The house does smell a bit of mold, which is to be expected for an older home in a humid environment. While it did bother my sensitive lungs, fortunately, none of the rest of our family noticed. Overall, we had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed our stay at this property–we’ll definitely come back next time we’re on the Big Island!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Betty’s house located in a peaceful neighborhood with an old Hawaii country feel. A perfect location & close to Hilo town. The house was clean & well stocked with everything we needed from coffee to laundry soap. The beds were comfy & the many ceiling fans cooled the rooms. The second shower & toilet under the house was a little quirky, but with 4 adults, much appreciated & even private. The short hike to the beach at the end of the road was an adventure you don’t want to miss. I would definitely stay here again!

Laurie was very warm and welcoming. She responded quickly to all questions. Location is an easy drive to downtown Hilo.
