Log Cabin w HotTub near Seneca Rocks & Spruce Knob

Darby RoseRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the best time on our mini vacation to Spruce Mountain Cabins #4. It was the perfect place for my boyfriend to propose. There was so much to do in the area we spent time at black waterfalls, spruce knob, and Seneca caverns. We lucked out and the weather was nice so we visited Spruce Knob multiple times. The cabin was the perfect retreat from reality. We love the hot tub and fire pit.

LabOUR of Love Lodge. BRAND NEW, Rustic & Unique

FrancesRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Merry Jo's place was a beautiful, clean and comfortable mountain home with stunning views. It is extremely private and peaceful (I think we saw one vehicle during our stay), and a great place to relax, meditate, and refresh. True escape! We saw deer daily and enjoyed the hiking nearby. It is close to restaurants (Davis, WVa) but the kitchen was well-stocked and we did cook out a few times. Merry Jo is a wonderful host, and she is quick to answer all of our questions, etc. We highly recommend and hope to visit again in the near future.

Highland Cabin, pets ok/GW Nat'l Forest/near JMU

TraceyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This cabin was a dream for us! It's very private, yet equipped with all the modern amenities. The beds were super comfy and each bed had multiple sizes and varying softness of pillows, so you could choose what was right for you. We cooked the entire week, and this cabin was completely stocked with cookware, dishes, and a great dishwasher for cleanup. Probably my favorite thing was the screened-in porch. We spent a lot of time out there with coffee, food, and wine, just relaxing and sharing time together. The entire perimeter of the house is fenced in which was very convenient for letting my dog out and not feeling worried about him running off. The host was very responsive to us anytime we needed anything. The location of the cabin does not allow you to just go out and walk though. The drive is steep, rocky, and bumpy, but I felt this was the only drawback of the property.

The cabin was lovely! Everything felt super clean and thoughtful. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the space and the secluded location. The tap water had a horrible smell, so we avoided showering, but the host provided plenty of drinking water for us to use, and everything else was good!

The Seneca Rocks Guest Suite

JohnRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I have camped with Tim while being guided for rock climbing, and I always look forward to catching up and hearing about his adventures. If you want to feel at home like you are staying with friend or family, the whole crew here will make you feel so. It truly feels like a home away from home for any activity in the area, and the amenities are just what you need to enjoy the outside with a bit more comfort than a tent! Always look forward to returning!

Healing Waters Cabin

MeaganRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was my 4th time back and 2nd time for our ladies trip. This is hands down, my absolute favorite place to just BE. I always leave feeling renewed and centered. The Spring here is GORGEOUS and bursting with life. I love how the trails look different every time we hike them. This time there were groves of flowering trees, fern and moss covered forest floors, and the most beautiful spring green colors EVERYWHERE. We saw tiny orange efts, snails, SO many butterflies (all around the cabin actually), little mushrooms, fireflies… lots of birdsong. We didn’t want to leave and we definitely will be coming back soon! Deb and Matt were WONDERFUL hosts, as always.

The cabin was a welcome respite from a rainy day of motorcycle travel. The cabin was comfortable, and it was great being able to do laundry (and dry some gear out by the fire!) Great location for all the outdoor activities the area has to offer. Thanks!

The Gingerbread house

SelwynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed here for the final two nights of a three week trip to the Washington area, from England. It was perfect! A genuine 50 year old wooden cabin in the woods. Very rustic and cosy. We loved it. We felt like real adventurers, except we weren’t because it has electricity and tv and Wi-Fi! We lit and cooked on the stove and felt we were in the Little House on the Prairie. Said lots of good nights. Had a lazy day on the deck in the sunshine and did a few strolls around. Saw some deer. We didn’t mind bringing in water, food etc, plus lots of previous guests had left lots of food anyway. The outside toilet was fun! Would thoroughly recommend this as the best of both worlds. The instructions were very clear. Thanks Rebecca!

Highlander River Cabin

FionaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Rob’s cabin was perfect. We loved the river, the view across the street, the DVD player, the popcorn, the cozy sofa bed, the heater…. And surprisingly will miss the no running water part. (It’s not that challenging as it may sound). It’s truly an unforgettable stay and was an adjustment period on our way driving back to busy city life.

Appalachian Cabins Family cabin #3

JennyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Tashina's place was fantastic! We booked extremely last minute and she had no problem getting the place set up for us. It was in a beautiful location with great amenities - hot tub, fire pit, TV, and a river to fish in. There were only two downsides - one was the Internet actually worked better outside than it did inside (but we expected that with the remoteness of the place) and the beds could've been more comfortable. All in all, I'd stay again!

Appalachian Cabins honeymoon #5

LindseyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Had the best time! We hiked to the top of Seneca rocks and it was only 6 minutes down the road. Beautiful cabin. Beautiful scenery. Loved sitting on the porch and just taking it all in. The river was beautiful. The jacuzzi was the perfect ending to the perfect day after the hike. You will be in the country and Walmart is 46 minutes away from the cabin so make sure you bring your own groceries and necessities. Although, Yokums grocery and deli is also 6 minutes away and there were some good finds there. Great food. We tried the 2nd best rated chili dog in all of WV. Also found the best home made fudge there! We also drove to Cheetah Bs which is about a 20 minute drive from the cabin and it was phenomenal. Overall wonderful experience. Will 100% come back.

Rich Mountain Retreat

LindsayRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This cabin in Harman WV is such cozy space with a really relaxed vibe. The living area had extra linens (aesthetically placed in baskets) for cuddling up with, the bathroom was very well stocked, and the kitchen had every utensil you could hope for to make hearty meals all weekend. My husband and our friends spent two nights here to do rigorous trail maintenance nearby before a big race, and it was phenomenal to unwind here afterwards with hot drinks and soak up the incredible views. Thank you all for letting us stay. We absolutely recommend it!
