The house is nicely furnished in my opinion and good for big group gatherings. Many bed rooms available with a mix of single and double beds which are quite comfortable. And apart from the living room, there are other areas that friends/family can huddle around, both indoors and outdoors. All the basic amneties are provided and work fine. The owner is extremely helpful and responsive, providing prompt response and help when needed. The only downside I feel is the narrow road and insufficient parking. It's convinient if you have 3 cars (or 4 if you park one right in front of the gate). Anything more and you need to park further... and the nearby Sunny Point complex is an option, but you need a 3-5 minute walk back to the property. Also, food choices within walking distance is limited to a few Malay food stalls. Overall, it was good value in my opinion... just be mindful if you are travelling with many cars, then it might not be the best choice.

Nice place except there’s small insects in the house. Expected since the area is village area but would appreciate if the owner provides insect repellent especially to guest travelling with little babies.

We had a fantastic 3D2N stay here with our big family, and this Airbnb was absolutely perfect for us! Traveling with a large group can be tricky, but the host went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable — they even provided extra beds for all of us, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay so much more relaxing. The home was clean, spacious, and well-equipped for a family gathering. The living area was great for bonding time, and the location was super convenient — just minutes from the beach, restaurants, and the famous night market. The kids loved it, and the adults got to unwind too! Eve was incredibly accommodating and responsive, always ready to help with anything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended for big families or group trips — we’d come back in a heartbeat!

A spacious home that's perfect for big families. Ideal for those who enjoy hanging out together, cooking meals, and relaxing near the beach. The beach is within walking distance, making it very convenient. We were even greeted by some cheeky monkeys outside the house – they weren’t dangerous at all and just added to the fun. It really felt like a tropical escape, staying by the beach with a touch of the jungle. Thank you to the host for the lovely stay!

The house was very clean and clutter free, and being a person that dislikes insects and dirty surroundings in a home, this place was perfect! Zero bugs, clean and clutter-free interior. It is very obvious that our lovely host has poured her heart and soul into this place. Loved the design of the place! Amenities were provided as per the listing, and check-in was a breeze as well. Location is great, and very peaceful. Apple, our lovely host, was very warm and friendly, providing us with directions and recommendations based on our trip. She checked in on us a few times throughout to ensure we're doing alright and if we needed anything. I highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for a clutter-free, clean, and modern accomodation for a big group. 10/10 for accommodation 15/10 for the host

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we checked in, we felt warmly welcomed – our host had even prepared a lovely hamper for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around and explore Penang. Communication was smooth throughout – our host was always responsive, easy to talk to, and even answered phone calls promptly when we had questions. She also reminded us to enjoy durian during the season, which was a fun and authentic local experience we wouldn’t have wanted to miss! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Penang. It has been a splendid stay :) my family really enjoyed our time there. The indoor playground was also extremely well maintained and my son was having lotsa fun there. It was a short but memorable trip and this apartment made our stay really relaxing. Its exactly like the pictures and very well maintained. Will definitely book a stay here again when Im back to visit bt mertajam :) Thank uou host for the very good communication and instructions :)

The place was the host described and similar to the posted photos. Host was very responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in. We had 21 pax with us and everyone slept comfortably. The host was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for those planning for a large gathering.

Great place! It was clean, spacious, and well located!

We stayed 4 days 3 night at Cheeleong place and it was a nice experience of old house vibe. Check in was smooth and easy thanks for Chee Leong for allowing us to come in early around 130pm. The place has its own charm but not to everyone liking is presume.. as the old wall crack, old wooden door, old glass panel window create the ambient of actual old house in Penang. All basic amenities provided, ample space for everything. The bedroom upstairs is huge with seating area and the bed is comfy enough for 2 of us. The place is located at the heart of georgetown and easy access to everywhere via foot or short car ride. Don’t expect hotel level services or condition if you decided to booked here as the house its actual old building in Penang. Well recommended place for people who appreciate heritage and architecture of old building.

Suitable for large families. The house is in decent condition, though due to its age, some dust and the occasional lizard are to be expected. Conveniently located within walking distance of various attractions. Overall, it’s a satisfactory stay.

Very cute traditional little house ! Plenty of rooms and space for a big group. Close to shops and night market and an easy grab away to the airport. Be aware though that the stairs are a bit steep, and the ac is a bit lacking but hey it's an old house.
