“Claudia and Camilo: Excellent stay!!!! we can see a great future for what you are looking to offer. It was great to heard all those dreams you have for this place. Well, there are not words to properly describe the experience. One can really feel like being among family. Claudia's description about the place is just a small part of it. Disclosure: I'm a Paisa (born in Medellin, Antioquia) therefore in deep love with my region. Mountain views that really bring you in tone with the nature and invite you to meditate. Quite impossible task when you want to share a lovely conversation with Claudia ;) Right in the moment I came down that exiting trip road (thanks God Camilo had drove that road for the last 2 year, specially built for the "finca"), I regretted that it was going to be only two nights stay. So please, I encourage you, wake up as any "campesino" (farmers) as early as possible (those hard working ones wakes around 4am) so you can really experience a live in a Colombian farm. We are lazy ones and stay a bit longer in bed, which they had totally respected. We had traveled with our two kids (12 and 6 year-old boys), both of them had had a blast. To the point that during the hiking times (twice) they didn't ask for their devices. Horse ride was amazing, first time for both of them and after a while both were doing it by themselves. There was a scary moment with a tin roof where the small one was dangerously close to. I'm sure it will be taken care of. Come there for the experience, not just for a place to stay a night. On your route to Jardin town? this is a must stop for a couple of nights... hopefully, more than three. Forest? lots of it. Views? lovely mountains to spare at sunrise or sunset. Cascade and water flows? multiple places where my oldest one got lost as usual when close to natural water resources. So much to say but let's resume it: If you are looking for a calm place to experience nature in Colombian country side, this is your place”
What was once a traditional Colombian coffee farm is now a beautiful country house located just 1.5 miles away from the town of Tarso, 40 mins from Jericó and 2 hours from Medellin. As it stands at 1600m above sea level, it provides year-round spring weather which can reach 30°C during sunny days and 18°C on a fresh night. It's the perfect place to disconnect from the fast pace of city life and reconnect with nature, take a long walk, admire the diverse vegetation and even bird watch.
