Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Parke County

Our stay could not have been more prefect! We had reserved months in advance to make sure we had a place to stay for our son’s graduation from Rose Hulman. The place was everything we could have hope for and more!! LaDonna was very communicative. The location was both near enough to campus and in a peaceful neighbor where we immediately felt at home. The house was immaculate, well stocked and spacious. Ironically, I broke my leg the week before arriving and the house was so easy to get around and lived up to its name; ‘Healing Waters’. So grateful for the stay. Highly recommend!!

Very clean, close to fishing spots which was what we were looking for, private and just an overall very cool place!

We loved Kickapoo Creekside Escape and would definitely stay there again. Lots to do if you are a nature lover and not too far from town if you needed something.

This is an unbelievably beautiful place. The Ranch is huge and beautiful, exactly like the photos. The surrounding area is gorgeous, tons of wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend!!

Swan's Nest is cozy and comfortable and located in beautiful surroundings. This was my second stay and I hope to be back next year.

Maggie was friendly, flexible, and always so quick to respond to messages. The home was beautiful, satisfying all of our needs, and was in a prime location for the wedding venue we were utilizing.

Wow, what a well-laid out, neat cabin! Thought of everything. Beautiful, wooded, private setting… this is a jewel in eastern Illinois!

Such a cute place at such a good price! It’s clean and had everything we needed! Very thoughtful hosts. Plus the location is beautiful and secluded while still being close to town. The hosts are also great! They kept me in the loop and answered questions quick.

Great place to stay if you ever visit the area

Great place to stay, easy to find, clean and perfect for oyr trip

It was nice quite peaceful place to stay. The only thing that I did not appreciate was the exterminator. When they came they knocked three times then came in. I would have appreciated some kind of heads up. I could have been naked or even having sex. So that was unfavorable. Other than that one hiccup, my stay here was amazing.

We had a great stay in Dana. Kevin’s house is beautiful, with a private access to the apartment above his garage. It is quite secluded but easy to find. We showed up after dark but Kevin had lights lining the driveway for us to see our way. The front of the house was roaming with deer when we arrived. The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated with a comfy couch and chair in the living area and antique bedroom furniture in the bedroom. The place was very clean, to the point of spotless. The bath towels were fluffy and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash were provided. During our stay we went to Parke county to see covered bridges throughout the day, visited the old mill in Bridgeton, ate at Benjamin’s in Rockville, and watched a movie at the old time movie theater The Ritz. I enjoyed my time in the area and would love to return during the bridge festival one day.

Had a great stay at Tammy's place! Everything was clean, bathrooms were spotless. Stayed here after hiking at Shades. We loved the back porch with the river view - it was magical at night! Our toddler loved climbing up and down the steps and exploring the backyard. Plenty of space to move around inside. Tammy was very communicative and flexible when I was asked about early check-in. Would stay again!

Gary and Kris's house was amazing! The space was roomy and fun. It was well appointed and the kitchen had every pot or pan you could imagine. The deck is very nice and the view from it was serene. We saw lots of wildlife in the back and side yards and were able to catch fish right from the dock. It was easy to find and there's a lot that's close in case you forget anything. We had a wonderful time! Thank you!

The perfect place for a family/ gateway weekend. Just walking distance from the Turkey Run park trails . If you love nature this the place for you. Very cozy, clean . They have thought of everything you need to have an amazing outdoor and relaxing time either after an all day hiking or just want to enjoy a nice gateway time .

We had an excellent stay! With 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, our group of 5 had plenty of room and privacy. The location is great - beautiful woods and right next to Turkey Run. The house was very clean! Lots of towels, pillows, and blankets. They had a nice selection of big spray and sunscreen, but bring your own shampoo/conditioner/body wash.

joe was very nice and helped us find the area very easily! this is a very laid back area to stay! perfect off grid setting and loved that there was our own private dock area as well! a clean outhouse, and the inside of the cabin was surprisingly cool for how hot it’s been outside!! they also had a lot of cookware and other kitchen stuff in case you forgot anything. you do have to bring your own bedding which we figured and didn’t mind.

This cozy cabin was very clean and nice. This was one that has not went through their remodel yet. We did see the ones remodeled and they are stellar. This cabin was nice and clean and in the heart of turkey run only minutes away from the trail head we hiked. A great pic of you want to hike and also come back and relax like we did! Also check in was easy and communicated perfect before our arrival. We had a small incident that was out of anyone’s control and the host was amazing getting things straightened out and making it right. 5 stars and would recommend!

It was beautiful and cozy. Def recommend renting the golf cart things are walking distance but it was so helpful and quick to explore and see things around the cabin. Robert was so welcoming great with instructions and very responsive. Felt like family the moment you got there and the home reflected that. Great spot for relaxing peace and fun with the family. Absolutely beautiful and first vacation kids put down the electronics got along and played together. Great home and host, you will enjoy!

We really enjoyed this cabin. What really stood out to us was the location to the Turkey run trails. They were about a 5 minute walk away. It was very convenient and was nice to avoid the Turkey Run main parking lot. Also shades state park is close. That’s only 20 minutes away by car. The cabin was clean and cozy. Check in was very easy and Nate responded super fast. We’ll be back!!
