This was our second stay at Carlos’ house. Just like the first year we had an amazing stay and will return again. The beach is really close in easy walking distance and is perfect for surfing. The house had many improvements made from our first stay such as an outhouse where there’s a second shower, washing machine and great storage for surfboards, this was super helpful. A dishwasher had also been installed in the kitchen and this was a huge help for us as a family of 6. Carlos is an outstanding host, always on hand to help going the extra mile, with any local recommendations and was also ready to help in person if we needed him due to our Spanish being limited. We can’t think him enough and are already looking forward to returning in 2025.

We stayed a month in April 2025. Angel greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the place. Later on he provided us with useful recommendations for places to see, and restaurants. Angel's mother who lives in a separate building within the perimeter of the gardens was lovely and welcoming, and became a second mother to our Golden Retriever. We loved the location, just a few minutes drive to numerous fantastic beaches, or into Valdovino town where there are a few good bars and restaurants. Ferrol (bigger town) with everything you need is only 15-20 mins away. Great location for exploring along the coast, or to Santiago/Lugo/A Caruna for day trips. We will plan to come back if we can.

We stayed in Jose‘s apartment for 7 days together with our daughter. The check-in was very easy and you can unload and load your car just in front of the house. Parking lots are nearby. First of all, the view from the apartment is really great and you can see the lagoon, mountains, the sea and even the sunset through the windows. Everything in the apartment seemed brand new and was super tidy. The walk to the beach in Valdoviño will take around 15 minutes and two groceries can be reached by a 5 minute walk. Great place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back any time. Thank you very much! 😊 100 % recommendation!
