amazing location with beautiful Himalayan view. we had a great family vacation. host was very co-operative and care taker bharti didi was very sweet and helping.

We had a great time staying at Arjun’s place. Special mention to the amazing food, everything was cooked to perfection. Beautiful and quiet property easily accessible by car. Arjun was very responsive and ensured we had a great stay. We would love to stay here again super soon.

The place is exactly as it is described, quiet, peaceful and surrounded by greenery all around. There were nice walking trails which we thoroughly enjoyed hiking along and a nice deck to sit and watch the mountains. The food was delicious and freshly prepared and we loved it. We had our pets with us and they loved the place too. Want to mention specifically about the mud houses - what a great sustainable way to embrace the mountains without disrupting the ecological balance. The property uses rainwater harvesting and a big thumbs up for that too. Would highly recommend to all. A must visit and a great place to just unwind.

The property is located at a great spot amidst orchards of peaches, plums, apricots and apples with scenic views of the valley and the Himalayas. It’s the perfect place for a quiet sojourn away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Nearby places like Gagar have options for eating out. Vikas and his family are great hosts and gave us lots of fruits from their orchard. The place itself is neat, clean and well maintained and the caretaker/cook and his helper dish out fabulous meals. The last 2 kms of the approach road is, however, unmetalled making it difficult to reach especially if it is raining and if you have a vehicle with a low clearance like a sedan. With a SUV or a vehicle with a high clearance access should not be a problem Vikash told us that there is a proposal for the road to be metalled in the near future.

I was looking for a peaceful place in the midst of nature to spend my long holi weekend. And I couldn't have found a better place. Although it is some 18 kms from Nainital (in Pangoot), and I had to walk some 2 kms up and down the hill to reach the place but I loved the walk or a mini trek you can call it. If you carry a lot of luggage and don't want to walk this minibtrek to reach the place, this is not for you I think. I was traveling alone and Karan was kind enough to have his property caretaker take me on a tour of Nainital and climb up the brahma temple peak on the other day. The 1-1.5 hour trek to go up to the temple at the top was awesome. Oh, and the food served at the homestay was homely, yet tasty. I had a perfect break from my hectic work schedule and will remember it for a long time.

We spent a couple of days at Maati Living and it honestly felt like a little haven. The place is tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful spot with stunning mountain views right from our window — waking up to that every morning was just magical. Gagan, the host, is one of the kindest people we've met — warm, and always ready to help. The food was simple and homely, exactly what we were craving, and the staff made sure we were comfortable and looked after. What really made the stay memorable, though, were the lovely volunteers — Miss. Srima and few more.They were so friendly and easy to talk to; we had long chats about everything under the sun and it felt like cozy community. Our stay was full of warmth — a perfect little escape.

Our stay in syat house was worry-free and perfect, thanks to the beautiful room, the beautiful calm and trashfree landscape, the supernice stuff and the delicious provided three times buffet in the open garden kitchen each day. You pay for the food on top of the room price shown on Airbnb, but it's definetly worth it. The stuff is actually around the garden kitchen whole day, so that there is always somebody available. For people who think it might be a bit far from the entry of the nationalpark: there is a entry about 5minutes away and you can book a safari picking you up from syat house and bringing you quickly in the animal spotting areas. Ah and: after the warnings of Aditya for a lot insectfriends I expected endless spiders and more but in the end we spotted only one tiny lizard in the very far ceiling corner of the room and that was it (was in April). So don't be scared! We would love to come back one day :)

This was a really good place! It was exactly as described and the even the pictures don’t do justice to the breathtaking beauty of the place. The caretaker was very responsive and cooperative and really helped us out to explore the new place and restaurants. Would highly recommend the place if you want a cozy, private stay and enjoy the mesmerising scenery of Nainital!
