Cozy apartment in a quiet area

SalomeRating, 5 stars22 months ago
This was definitely a very different stay than what I’m usually accustomed to but then again I hadn’t been to a country like Palestine before so it took a little bit of acclimating. For what it was worth the stay was nice. Large, beautiful home lots of space, very calm safe quiet neighborhood, the neighbors spoke English and were so helpful when they saw me outside. Introduced themselves. No AC but lots of different countries don’t have ac in hotels/airbnbs. Host was incredible. He went above and beyond to make my friend and I as comfortable as possible always accommodating us, brought us another fan, we couldn’t figure out the address so he called our delivery man for us to explain how to get to us, he answered super fast at all hours, made sure we had everything we needed. Gave us tips on the culture. The host was incredible. I’m so grateful for his hospitality. The place is a far walk from the city but only 5 minute cab ride.

Isaac's Home - Guesthouse in Bethlehem

DavidRating, 5 stars36 months ago
As soon as we arrived at the house, there was great communication. We got back in touch with our hosts very quickly for the key delivery. The house is large and spacious, with a separate kitchen, living room, three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house also has a great wooded and lush park. We were six people in all, and it was very nice, each person having their own personal space: Two bedrooms with two single beds and a bedroom with a double bed. Our hosts were kind enough to give us visits to Bethlehem and escort us during our many city tours. I would recommend this place, without hesitation. This home on the outskirts of Bethlehem is a great value. Thank you again for a pleasant stay. David.

Charming Old Roman House (entire home)

TonyRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Osama's place is fabulous and so atmospheric being right in the centre of Sebastia and being an old Ottoman era house. Positioned right next to the Church of St John the Baptist and the Mosque, it could not be more central. The views from the roof were amazing. The ancient ruins were an easy walk away and there was a small but good selection of eating choices. The kitchen was well appointed and we very much appreciated enjoying breakfast on the front terrace in the mornings and enjoying late afternoons in the rear courtyard. Osama, Yosor and Malath were very accommodating and whilst the accommodation seemed a little more than we like to pay, the atmosphere and experience made it worth it. We had a great stay.

Kirmiz Residence

We had a wonderful time here in Bethlehem over Christmas. The location is amazing, only a few minutes walk from the Church of the Nativity and to the town centre. Yet, it also feels rural, with views over the valley, a large garden and chickens! The apartment was really comfortable. THe kitchen was basic but had everything you needed and there were plenty of shops and the Bethlehem market to buy things to cook. The hot water was great and though we asked for a heater we hardly needed to use it. The bed was comfortable. Ramez was prompt and the communication worked really well. We had great times exploring town but also really enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the chickens. Recommend.

Ramez Residence

MichaelRating, 5 stars65 months ago
Ramez's place is an excellent way to experience Bethlehem! He is a kind and caring host who communicates well with great concern for his guests. He was away for studies during our stay, which put us in the competent and loving hands of his parents. Every time we saw them, they invited us in for a chat and a warm drink, though unfortunately we were never in a position to accept their hospitality. The place is about as close to the Nativity Grotto as you can get and staying inside the Earth with this cave feel in such proximity adds a palpable level of magic. They have a beautiful side yard which is expansive and unusual for the area, I don't think I saw another yard that comes close in spaciousness in the entire city. Once you step into the gate from the street and enter this yard with its gardens and stairs that lead down to the apartment with the zula (chilling area) and amazing vistas, it is truly like entering a sanctuary. There are a few things one should know: Bethlehem is in Palestine, which is a vital cultural experience as you do not have a true understanding of this land without being in the Arab community. This means in order to reenter Israel you have to go through a border check point. This is no big deal, except it can be a real bottleneck situation, so plan ahead if you intend to go back and forth to Jerusalem. The roadways can be a nightmare on high holidays, I experienced this trying to head out on Epiphany, so on those days I recommend never getting in the car. The street infront of the house is a oneway between the Nativity Grotto and the house with traffic only moving from Ramez's place toward the Grotto. None of my mapping apps were aware of this, so you might want to double check your way before arrival. We are grateful for our stay and Ramez's and his families lovely hospitality!
