Monthly Rentals in Padeniya

Stayed between 15-18th of April 2025. This is the second time I visited this property. Absolutely a gem of place to relax and unwind. The location is full of nature only the sound of the birds can be heard. The views are stunning with a beautiful lake in front and a large paddy field. An unspoilt village to show children how the rural village life goes about. There are plenty of bicycle for the guests to use FoC and Can take a bicycle ride across the village and on the bundt of the lakes in and around and enjoy the picturesque views of the lakes and the Galkiriyagama rock that spans for 7kms. During the night only the sound of nature you can hear. In the evening a dip in the lake with the villages is not to be missed. The property is very clearly kept. The food is absolutely tasty and made in a kitchen cleanly kept. Ideal place to enjoy traditional Sri Lankan Rice and Curry and other Sri Lankan food. A place definitely you want to revisit over and over again. Great value for money.

Property is situated in a beautiful location surrounded by coconut trees! We were serenaded by bird songs and Buddhiat Gatha each morning. Ranil and the staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a BBQ one night, and it was really good (ask for Ranil's special homemade BBQ sauce!) . We saw so many peacocks. Pool was also a highlight! We've already recommended the property to family and friends! Thanks Nalin for hosting us. ☺️

Stayed with the family for my wife's birthday. Unfortunately we had some power issues at the start of our stay due to some extreme weather and a temperamental generator. However, these were resolved by the following day when a man came round to fix the generator. The place is beautiful and the caretaker, Shiva, was very helpful throughout our stay. The views are amazing and I could have easily spent a whole afternoon sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea and a book just taking in the surroundings. One constructive piece of feedback I would offer the host is that a sign at the bottom of the driveway would be very helpful to confirm that you have arrived in the right place. We unfortunately drove past the property when we first arrived and ended up having to double back after asking a local for directions. Overall, this was a lovely stay and a property well worth returning to.

We’re a group of nine nice people who stayed at Mandarin Hill Residence, and it was even better than we expected! The place was very clean, spacious, and well taken care of. Surrounded by peaceful green nature, it felt like a quiet and private spot — perfect to relax after traveling. The rooms were comfortable, nicely decorated, and looked just like the pictures. Everything was ready to make us feel at home. The hosts were kind, welcoming, and always made sure we had what we needed. We also appreciated that they provided clean and comfortable accommodation for our driver — that really helped our group a lot. We felt right at home and would love to come back. We highly recommend Mandarin Hill Residence to anyone looking for a calm, well-run place near Kandy.
