Lake side house rentals in Pactola Lake

Our stay was amazing, it was the perfect mountain getaway from the city we live in! The cabin is located in a very quiet and secluded mountain community. We got to see lots of wildlife and we even a had a snowy day. Our stay was very peaceful and centrally located for our Black Hills adventure. We would definitely like to stay there again!

The place was very comfortable and perfect for what we were looking for! Great fishing, loved watching the sunrise over the mountains! A wonder place to reconnect with nature. Definitely recommend staying there!

The cabin was a great escape! It was rustic, but we expected that. It offered loads of space, a game room, a propane firepit, relaxing decks, and a propane grill. We spent many days floating in the creek on inner tubes. Our group consisted of 2 families of 4 and our close friend. The kids are all elementary school-age, and they loved running in the woods, playing in the game room, and going to the creek. The bedrooms do need to be cut through to get to the bathrooms, but that was not a problem for our group. It was fabulous to be able to catch up as adults while the kids were busy playing without being on screens. (Of course, there is internet so they could have been, but they were having more fun exploring.) I highly recommend this location.

We absolutely adored this home by the creek. I stayed with my family of 4, we have a 4 year old and an 8 year old and it was an exciting place for them to stay as well. My youngest wanted to stay forever and I would’ve been right behind her if I could! I loved listening to the creek flow from the balcony any chance I got. We had so much fun looking for flat rocks along the creek to skip across it (both kids learned!) and had deer spectating our game of charades on the deck in the evening. It was magical. Also, we didn’t look for games at the property, we brought them from home so I’m not sure if they have any provided. The space was clean, we had fresh sheets on the beds and lots of cozy blankets. The bathroom and kitchen were pristine and I noticed very minimal dust in the whole space. The hosts were also quick to respond when we needed them and Tim came by quickly to help us out. Thank you Tim and Rob for your hospitality and a great stay at your beautiful home!

We had a glorious time in the hills staying at Joy’s little red inn. The kids enjoyed the large front yard for playing and the adults enjoyed the fire and beauty that surrounded the property. We enjoyed being close to Custer and Joy being so responsive to us. We hope she will have us back soon!

Beautiful place exactly as described. Easy to get to Custer State Park and Jewel cave from here. Super comfortable beds, everyone slept hard! Kitchen had everything we needed and the little town of Custer is just a couple miles down the road to grab groceries. Would definitely stay here again!

This location is exactly what we needed on our trip! It was safe and secluded and the kids were able to run around and play without fear. The house itself was perfect! Very roomy and plenty to do to keep everyone happy! Trystin was a great host and responded quickly when we needed him. We will definitely be back!

This home is perfect for two couples, there is a lot of space to move about and plenty of spots to relax. The home is well equipped and had everything we needed. Our favorite gathering spot was the deck. A rabbit moved in and we enjoyed keeping an eye on him, and the deer that wonder the neighborhood in the evening! The pool table came in handy, and we certainly appreciated being able to put our vehicle in the garage. This home is centrally located to all the sites we came to see. We took the short walk to Canyon Lake Park every evening--what a gem! I would give Chace's home more than 5 stars!

Great location to see all of the Black Hills attractions. Attached to a campground, so you can walk to the office and playground. Grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, urgent cares are all close by. The house was comfy, the ac worked great, plenty of room for our group of 7. Loved the neighborhood, it was quiet and well kept. Would 100% stay here again or recommend the house to family and friends.

The house is huge! Lots of space for a bigger group of people. Really neat house with a fun layout. Great views in a nice neighborhood!

The place was excellent. It was quiet and far enough away that it felt like we were in the woods but close enough to deadwood you could be at a restaurant in 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed and private stay!

This was by far our favorite stay that we have had with Airbnb. The cabin is located with an amazing view that we enjoyed from bed in the mornings. It is private enough to not worry about other people, but not so much that it is too hard to find! We hope to be back in the future!

This was the perfect relaxing getaway for my family. Beautiful scenery with a lot to do in the cabin as well. We used Apple Maps & it took us straight to cabin with no problems every time we went somewhere. It is private and off the beaten path. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Sarah’s place was absolutely wonderful! The house and surroundings were beautiful—just like the photos. And Sarah had obviously put much thought into making her guests feel welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

This place is magical. So lovely and peaceful and secluded, but close enough to everything you'd want to do. We had a hard time leaving the cabin to go on excursions, it was such a wonderful place to be.

This is a wonderful place in a beautiful setting. It’s a perfect location to relax and /or serve as a home base as you explore all that the black hills have to offer.
