Modest and cosy working class house in city center

My house is located in the city center of Diest. It's located close by the railway station, the city center park for a quiet and relaxing time, the shops and restaurants. Also a couple of touristic attractions like the citadel, the recreation area (the halve maan) and the ancient walls are close by. The place is renovated, with a brand new bathroom, living area and has a well equipped kitchen. There's also a little garden Sleeping: there are two bedrooms for in total 4 persons. Welcome!

Hooistek is a cozy and quite modern holiday accommodation behind a rural, detached house, easy to reach from exit Geel Oost of the E313. Hooistek has its own entrance, has free Wifi. The last part of this hallway is also used by the owner to a limited extent. There is car parking, covered parking for moto/bikes. There is a large garden. Children can also enjoy themselves in our beautiful treehouse with sliding door, swing,... There is also a covered terrace with lounge set where you can relax.

Sometimes you discover a great place — and sometimes, the place finds you. Femke’s home was exactly what we needed. We spent a lovely long weekend there to celebrate my daughter’s 9th birthday with a trip to Bobbejaanland (just a short drive away!), and the stay made everything even more special. The house felt like home from the moment we arrived. The kids absolutely loved the upstairs play area, filled with toys and space to explore, while we enjoyed the cozy and well-equipped downstairs. Everything we needed was there. The garden was a real highlight — peaceful, full of giant trees, and perfect for children, with a slide and two swings that kept them entertained for hours. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you, Femke, for creating such a warm and welcoming.

Very good stay at De Oude Statie. It has the industrial appeal of the train station that it was for many years and has now been converted into a comfortable apartment. The bathrooms are newly built and the living room on the first floor retains the charm of the old use as a station. The industrial environment does not bother you at all, the location of the house is very quiet and our hosts were attentive to our requests immediately. Thank you Marjan & Jeroen for your attention.
