To Sjusjøen cross-country skiing 8 km drive, to Hafjell/Hunderfossen Adventure Park 30 min, and Sjusjøen alpine for families only 10 min. Lillehammer city center 15 min. Evening and Sunday open grocery store Mesnali 3 min. Bed linen and towels can be rented and must be pre-booked - price NOK 250/£20/€25 per set. Feel free to bring your own. We offer snowshoe hikes and cross-country skiing instruction in winter, please contact us if you are interested.

Østerdalsstue at Kvebergshaugen

The house is located on a farm with sheep and dog, next to the house where we live ourselves. The farm is located about 4 km south of Alvdal city centre and there is a short distance to both hiking areas and fishing opportunities. The house is a restored oyster valley living room from the 1800s, and the kitchen is well equipped (including microwave, kettle, coffee maker, press pot and dishwasher). Cleaning fee of 300 kr covers only the preparation of the rental unit and not the final cleaning.

A cozy garden leads down to its own beach at Mjøsa. Lovely perennial bed and a private kitchen garden to prepare in. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and cook delicious local and organic food, with the farm and area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities at Helgøya, for walking, running and biking.
