This is an ECO Satoyama experience type Japanese traditional farmhouse for those who want to enjoy nature. [The charm of the inn] It is a large old private house built 80 years ago using the unblemished wood of the Satoyama. The most attractive feature is the quiet environment in a dead-end village. There is a 200 square meter wooden house with a 350 tsubo large yard. Everything becomes your own space. It's okay if your kids run around or if your baby cries. You can also enjoy a BBQ under the blue sky. The eaves are wide, and it is a pleasant environment where you can have a BBQ even in the rain. Outdoor equipment is also available for rent. I came to Gifu in 2018, I think it was it’s unpretentiousness that attracted me . The people here seem relaxed and easy going, hospitable and very much in love with their hometown which in the Gifu park area retains much of the (Kyoto like) feeling of traditional Japan with it’s castle and a host of well maintained shrines. I don't think many people have heard of Gifu, even Japanese people, inspite of the Great heritage sights like Shirakawago, beautiful mountains and clear water rivers!
