The room is very tidy, the space is large, fully equipped with daily necessities, about 10 minutes walk to the nearest station, the host is responsive.

We were surprised by such a large house that could have been so clean and tidy.The host was welcoming, reliable and warm, recommended a place to stay, loved it.

It was very helpful that they gladly accepted our sudden stay on the day.Thanks to the help with check-in, it went smoothly. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the dog walking course was just around the corner, and it was a very scenic and pleasant walking course. I want to use it again.

The host is super friendly and very lovely. It was very spacious, super quiet, and relaxing as it is out in the countryside. It would be a good place for a group retreat or quiet getaway! Definitely recommended!

Very nice and clean house, with excellent mountain views. Great showers. The owner runs a cafeteria on the first floor, which is very convenient for breakfast. Takao san gave great suggestions for local tours and was very happy to welcome our family, including our dog!

Very responsive from booking to check in day. Staffs are very helpful. I forgot the name of the lady who helped us checked in. She has been helpful all the time and will check for us time to time to see if we need anything help. She will come check on us before she left for home. Very thoughtful and warm act. When we started setting up the fire for BBQ, she saw us seems to have some issue, she came proactively and helped us set up the fire. The place has free drink, vegetables and rice in the club house which opens 24 hours. We feel right at home with this convenience.

The old house has been renovated and was very clean and stylish. There was no close house, so we had a relaxing stay.

I had a great stay here while road tripping across Japan! I was able to book it late and the host was very responsive! I especially appreciated the hospitality cabin that guests had access too with complementary supplies. The host also was quick to respond and refill the mosquito repellent in my room when it ran out! The villa is huge and it is located in a very quiet corner at the top of the hill. It has all the amenities that you need. Check in and check out is easy and the host is friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much!

I stayed here with 10 friends (11 total people) for two nights and we absolutely loved it. We all loved the private onsen, the views, and the patio. The host was so kind and provided local meat for us to grill outside, which we very happily enjoyed. The house was beautiful, quiet, and the room for parking was also convenient. Highly recommend for large groups!

We liked it very much, we were received super warmly, could enter the house earlier, the breakfast is very delicious. We felt right at home. We had dinner cooked by Kaoru twice and enjoyed it very much! As an experience, this is highly recommended! Kaoru is a great cook and hostess and has a very nice family, whom we also got to know. What was great is that she gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area, which we could benefit from. This will certainly not be our last time in this accommodation!

Such a kind and thoughtful host! Shared local recommendations and help. Very peaceful and quiet. Rural - need to get any food or items in town before driving up. I visited Mt Futago and the beach before driving to Beppu about an hour away. Wouldn’t recommend for tall people as the bedroom upstairs has a low ceiling.

The unexpected feeling of staying is not good ~ There are probably very few people checking in on the same day, as if we rented a villa ~

House is not difficult to find, in a quiet but convenient location in Aso. House is dated but well equipped. However taller guests do be careful of the middle ceiling as my 1.78cm son kept knocking his head when he was walking around the house. The best part was the vanity area which is very spacious and bright

Wow! Where to start? The hospitality at this place is unrivaled! Amane and Takashi were more than our hosts, they became our friends and showed us a piece of Japan I think few people get when visiting. It rained the whole time we were there and we still has countless things to do! I have limited space for this review, but the biggest thing that stood out for this Airbnb were the hosts. Our rental car failed and we know very little japanese, but our hosts went above and beyond to help us through this tough situation. In addition they gave us many recommendations for restaurants and places to visit and each one was outstanding! Lastly, the location is breathtaking! We do wish we had better weather, but hearing the ocean waves, rain on the trees, and whinnying of the ponies and the view of Beppu across the cove made this an experience we will never forget. Do yourself a favor and book this place if you are staying on the area, including Beppu...you won't regret it!
