Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Northwest Calgary, Hanson Ranch

Girlfriend and I stayed at Shaedon’s house with our 9 month old pup for a weekend getaway. The house was a terrific space and the fenced yard with a big yard was fantastic for the pup. The house is a 10 minute walk from the Kensington area and 5 minutes from the beautiful river walk area. Would highly recommend the home and would definitely stay there again. Communication was outstanding and an issue with a rather minor piece of equipment was resolved in a couple hours even tho it wasn’t required. 5 Star Hosts and a 5 Star place!!

Rinie’s place actually looks better than the photos! Great little house with very comfortable beds, lots of extra towels, coffee, teas, personal hygiene items and cleaners. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything you could possibly need! The whole house was very clean. The basement is wonderful for entertainment with the pool table, foosball table and lots of board games. The backyard is perfect for an afternoon , eating all fresco at the outdoor table or evening out by the fire pit. Rini was easy to communicate with, and inquired if we needed anything else. Which we really didn’t as the place was perfect ! I definitely recommend Rini’s place!

Such a lovely and cozy home! We were so grateful to get a chance to stay in Alison’s home! From the decorations, to the amenities! It’s a must stay!!!

AJ is a great host, he responds quickly to questions and there is plenty of fun activities around the house, inside and out. We brought our small dog and she loved exploring the large fenced yard, while we enjoyed the hot tub.

We have just returned from a great vacation at Amy's walkout basement apartment. Amy is a very responsive and friendly host, and returned our texts almost immediately. Check-in was easy, and the apartment was spotless. Situated in a quiet and peaceful place, with a beautiful view over the lake. The kitchen had everything we needed and a super comfortable bed. Great property in good neighborhood. House is on a busy street but both bedrooms are on the back side of the house helping to minimize noise. We didn't even notice traffic noise at night with a window open. The included garage (in alley) was very convenient for us and made loading and unloading kids so much less stressful than having to do so on the side of the busy street. Location was great with easy access to everything we needed. Westbrook LRT station was a quick 5min drive away and provided easy transportation to downtown, the zoo, science center and Victoria Park. The house was very well cared for with everything in good working order. The shower in the master bathroom was wonderful. The in-unit washer and dryer were a welcomed sight, especially when traveling with children. Sean was a great host, easy to get ahold of and proactive in reaching out to ensure everything was well. Will plan to book with Sean again on our next Calgary trip.

All was as described when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and more — we really appreciated having some spices/seasonings. The condo is in a great location, and we had no concerns about security. It was quiet (even with construction of a new building next door) and clean.

This was a fantastic stay! Our hosts, Richard and Teresa, were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was very comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities. A particular highlight was the stunning city view from the property. It was breathtaking both during the day and at night. Highly recommended!

Our stay with Beth was great! The location was perfect for our visit as it was a 5 -7 walk to our son and daughter in laws. The directions to get there were easy to follow, check in & out was fast and easy. The apartment it self was extremely clean and had everything it said it had. The only tiny complaint was the left hand shade in the living room was broken. But other than that, it was excellent! Would absolutely recommend and would definitely stay there again. One other thing is parking, although it does mention that there was NO on site parking, we did find underground parking a couple blocks away that we paid for but were unable to access it the entire trip. We did find parking along side of the apartment every night anyway, so it worked out anyway.

my husband and I stayed at The Guardian, which is the name of their condo building in their one bedroom condo overlooking beautiful downtown calgary from the 13th floor; the view is breathtaking, especially sunsets and all the lights, calgary tower etc. Jen and steven provided clear cut instructions for check in and check out, which made the process easy. above all, they are quite responsive on airbandb messages. their condo had all the amenities you can think of. the building gym was undergoing maintenance but it would be available otherwise. most important was the great parking spot they got us. i had described the size of the vehicle- larger suv- and they ensured we got appropriate size parking in the building heated underground parking garage! thank you for the snacks, unlimited tea, coffee, water :) all their appliances were top notch; brand new. thank you for welcoming us and for the banff pass! would definitely stay here again.

Nikki's place is very unique. if you are looking for something out of the ordinary in a peaceful and safe neighborhood, this is the place to be!

Easy checkin in, great place, clean and exactly as described.

What a special little cottage. Don't expect luxury and that everything works flawlessly... it is just like your uncles cottage by the lake :) You wake up to nature and wrap up the day relaxed by the fire looking over a river. You are also steps away from amazing restaurants in the Mission on 4th st. We enjoyed every single day we were there and so did our dog chasing squirrels around and staring at beavers and geese on the river. Rhiannon is also super responsive and helpful anytime.

Rhiannon was one of the most accommodating hosts I've ever dealt with! The property was exactly as described and she even confirmed after booking! This property is originally rustic and makes you feels like you're in a cabin in the woods. You're walking distance from downtown Calgary and 17th Ave ! I honestly didn't think this was possible! Extremely quite and safe neighborhood! I would highly recommended this property for all future guests! 5* 😊

This is a hidden gem. The property is outstanding for scenic views. The cabin was perfectly clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for all of your cooking needs. There is a lovey soaking tub in the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and there are views from each. Omar is the host with the most. I felt welcomed and experienced great hospitality. The location is perfect. Close to the airport, maybe 20 minutes to downtown Calgary, and close enough for amazing road trips. I highly recommend going to The Royal Tyrell Museum. Don't pass this one up, truly a gem.

Rhiannon is very quick to respond to any questions (even when I had to message at 5 am because I forgot to ask her a parking question 🤦‍♀️) I love the property. It’s difficult to leave and want to go do other activities because it’s so peaceful. This is my second stay there and I’m sure I’ll be back as long as that old, beautiful house is standing. It doesn’t feel like you are in the heart of the city at all. I could just lay on that hammock and look over the river, while reading a book, for hours. My dogs enjoyed the yard and we were blessed with awesome neighbours, that also brought their dog along to the neighbouring Air BnB. It really is the perfect piece of heaven. You’d be crazy not to stay here.

Nice quiet place with very responsive host. Cabin has kind of Old school look. Kitchen had all the things we needed. Beautiful fireplace. Saw new jacuzzi in a box outside. Would have been nice if that was accessible.
