Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Northern Rivers

Couldn’t be happier with our stay at Hilltop Retreat this week for us and our two dogs. A very tranquil and picturesque experience in the Scenic Rim. The house is very clean, tidy and well equipped with everything you need to make it feel like home. A very short drive to town and to the fantastic Golf Resort. We will recommend to everyone and we will definitely be back!

We stayed here for my 40th and it was absolutely perfect. The property is beautiful and peaceful, tucked right next to a creek that made the whole experience feel extra special. The fireplace kept us warm and cozy throughout our stay, and it was such a treat to unwind in such a serene setting. The hosts were fantastic—super helpful and always quick to respond to any questions. You can tell they really care about making sure their guests have a great time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing escape in nature! 🌿🔥

This was such a great spot for an unwind and reset. We were celebrating a very important milestone of 5 years cancer free. We didn't have much time so could only stay a couple nights but we emersed our self in the serenity of the place and disconnected. The birds were such a treat. Even though it rained most of the time it didn't put a damper on the weekend. My only recommendations would be an outdoor heater and a coat hook :) Thnaks again

Quaint little homely cottage. Extremely quiet. Very clean. Super comfortable beds. Fire was ready for us to light which was so nice! Beautiful tropical surrounds with a stream nearby.

The house is ideal for a family group or group of friends as it is very comfortable and has a really well equipped kitchen, plenty of living space and fabulous views. Very quiet too. Nice and warm with the heaters going. Great walks in binnaburra only a short drive away.

Leah’s house was beyond beautiful – it felt like we had been transported to a Balinese tropical paradise! We stayed for the weekend with family to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and we didn’t want to leave the house – it was that stunning. Every single corner was thoughtfully and immaculately decorated, from the unique statement lamps to the incredible art pieces throughout the home. The attention to detail was unmatched. The outdoor pool and shower were absolute highlights – so serene and luxurious! This place is a true gem. We loved everything about it and would come back in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dreamy, relaxing escape. Thank you, Leah, for creating such a magical space! 🌴✨

We had such a lovely stay. The house and gardens are so beautiful and well maintained. We find it such a relaxing and peaceful stay every year. Verity is so kind and easy to communicate with.

The views are incredible, you can see the city in one direction and the Gold Coast high rises in another plus all the beautiful scenery in between. You feel like you are on top of the world. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The apartment is very well equipped, clean, tidy and comfortable. Hayden’s instructions were spot on. Highly recommend.

Beautifully presented accommodation, perfect for a quite beach getaway. Location overlooking the sand dunes and surf was magical. We were able to walk everywhere…. Wooli Wooli Cafe for great coffee, the bowls club for yummy Chinese dinner and the Wooli Boat hire for a couple of hours cruising Wooli Wooli River. We felt very at home in your gorgeous beach getaway Sally. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Jennie’s room had everything we needed in a great cosy package. A great host who responded quickly to our queries. Great location just a short walk to the main hub of Bellingen.

We found the Luxe apartment suited us perfectly. It was clean, had all we needed, and Vanessa was great to deal with. We found plenty of food options nearby - and we could walk to People’s First Stadium (as we came over for a sporting event).

An amazing place to book a getaway. Brad was fantastic and helpful to deal with all the way through. His place was incredibly spotless upon walking in. The apartment is incredibly airy and open, with beautiful views of the water - exactly as seen in the photos. The location is also perfect - quiet enough to have blissful silence and peace away from the CBD, but also close enough to get there when needed. Overall a fantastic experience with the only regret being not staying longer!

Beautiful and peaceful location with an incredible view. Paul’s home is very well stocked and has everything you need for your stay. The large kitchen makes it easy to cook up a feast for your big groups. Bedrooms and amenities were comfortable (great to have a dog friendly option). Thank you for hosting us!

very clean and fresh inside out. close to everything but in a quite street with all the amenities you need. kids loved going to budds beach which is 50meters away! absolutely worth it. 5 stars.

Lisa’s place was wonderful, pool , spa and out door fire pit gave us lots of choices to sit and relax. The house was quaint and comfortable. Our stay was with friends and both bedrooms were comfortable but we did draw the short straw and had the green bathroom. I know first world problem but we didn’t realise this bathroom was only accessible from outside. But once we got over that everything was perfect. Definitely recommend staying at Lisa’s.

We absolutely loved this place. Its set in a lovely tranquil setting in the wilderness with spectacular views of the mountains. The fitout of our retreat is modern and well planned and set out. The kitchen was fully functional, bed extremely comfortable with a beautiful deck looking out across the mountains which made the experience all the more relaxing. Graham was wonderful and accommodating. We can't wait to come back.

The house was nestled up on a hill with beautiful views of the ocean and stars at night. The house was nice and spacious, especially the deck. However, it was not well maintained. We experienced a broken fan and a broken tool to open the windows that were too high to reach. Part of what makes this house really special is the beautiful big windows that look out onto a stunning view. However, there were no screens and it was quite warm in the house unless the windows were open. At night we felt the need to close the windows due to bugs, which made it a bit uncomfortable for us in the evenings.

Gary and Linda were amazing hosts! The house was absolutely stunning and with everything we needed. The view was even better than we expected! Would absolutely recommend the house and we will definitely be returning at some point!! Thank you Gary and Linda.

This was a great affordable place for a family to stay and explore the Gold Coast. Everything is 20-30 minutes away, which is fine. We would go out exploring all day or to the Theme Parks and come back for a peaceful quiet swim and relax afterwards. It was great to be able to prepare our own food.
