The house is in a quiet neighborhood and very little noise was heard when you’re inside. The house is older and does need some maintenance but nothing that hindered us from having a nice stay! Also, added bonus - no checkout cleaning requirements!

The hosts were INCREDIBLY responsive the entire stay with fast answers to any questions we had. They were very accommodating to all of our needs. The place was perfect for a short stay in Cape Charles - we only wish we had more time to enjoy the setting. Three Little Birds was very clean with a layout which suited us well. They allow pets so we were able to bring our pups along with us which really made the visit that much more special. The house rules book had all the information we needed including recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The place is well-situated in the neighborhood - very quaint! Our pups loved the neighborhood walks. Could not give a higher recommendation!

house was just what I expected. Driveway was perfect for the boat. lots of room for boat and vehicles . the hose bib on front of house was great. Plenty of room in the house was great also. we are planning to use this house again.

We enjoyed our time at this Cape Charles home! There was a small stroller in the basement which was a nice surprise! They also had a pack n play available, which we didn’t end up needing- but grateful we didn’t have to pack our own! Overall- extremely well stocked. This home is in a great location! 5 minute walk to the beach or downtown. Directly beside the splash pad. Would definitely come back!!

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful house, especially if you like a lot of room. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants, in a pretty neighborhood of historic homes. So charming. It might make you move to Cape Charles.

This is a lovely home equipped with everything you could need for small children and pets! There were lots of thoughtful touches throughout and we especially appreciated the welcome package with information and goodies from local favorites! The house is on a quiet street and the beach, park, and town are easily accessible by golf cart or walking. The town of Cape Charles is something special! We greatly enjoyed our time here!!

We loved staying at Cheri’s place! The golf cart was sooo nice to have and very convenient to not have to rent one. The home was just as described! The beds were perfect for us and our two kids. All of the games and beach stuff were also really nice. You really don’t need to bring anything for the beach except swimsuits because it is all there to use if you want it! We had a blast!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shore House! It was our second time to Cape Charles but our first time staying in town. We found the location to be quiet but convenient to everything! This place was perfect for staying with kids. It was stocked with everything we needed and also had some extras like fun beach toys/floats to use! Highly recommend and hope to be back!

My husband and I took our dogs on a trip to celebrate my baby-moon. It was such a relaxing getaway! The house had everything we needed and more to make us feel at home. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the second floor balcony. The beach is so close to the home, and our dogs had the best time! We hiked miles and miles on the natural preserve trail around the Base Camp. We enjoyed our daily walks through the beautifully kept Bay Creek community. Doug was great to work with and highly responsive if we needed anything. We would love to come back one day and would recommend to anyone looking for a similar vacation!

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to reconnect as a family. This charming property in Cape Charles was exactly what we needed—a peaceful, walkable retreat just steps from the beach. It was ideal for our grown children who are in different cities and families, looking to spend meaningful time together. The home itself was quiet and quaint; with all the comforts we needed and a touch of that small-town coastal charm. The views were exceptional sunsets over the water that we’ll be talking about for a long time. There was no shortage of things to do. We indulged in local ice cream, enjoyed a memorable horseback ride, tried our luck fishing, and of course, soaked up plenty of beach time. Cape Charles has such a welcoming, easy-going vibe that makes everything feel simple and relaxing. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the Eastern Shore.

We had four generations rendezvous for the week on the property and it was a wonderful time for all family members from 2 to 89 in age. Our days were spent pulling croaker and trout off the dock, paddling and splashing around the bay on paddleboards, swimming in the pool, savoring the panoramic view off the bulkhead, and dinners on the back patio. This property truly captures the essence of Delmarva living. On the last day of the trip we all agreed-we need to return!

We were in town for our son’s wedding and enjoyed our stay very much. Jason responded quickly to the few questions we had. We would definitely stay again.

The house was fantastic, with nice amenities and ample space. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bedrooms and living areas were very nice. And my family really enjoyed using the pool table. The very short walk to the private community beach was great also. I would absolutely rent this house again!

This was a very peaceful location. I truly appreciate the fenced backyard, the solitude, and of course the local coffee! The home was pristine and welcoming, and we had everything we needed. The area was a great place to get away. We traveled to Norfolk twice, and spent time in the Cape Charles downtown. We had no trouble with wireless connections and streaming. The Food Lion was close by for groceries, and when we asked the hosts about a particular kitchen tool, the response and delivery of the tool was immediate! It was a lovely vacation, and if we go back to the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to book the same home.

Lovely home with big and spacious bedrooms. Short drive to Cape Charles downtown area and beaches. Great home for large families. My family had a great time.

This was our third Memorial Day in Cape Charles and first at the Great Escape. We’ve already booked again for 2026. This home will probably be our “forever” Cape Charles rental. The location is unbeatable. The house itself easily fit our two families (4 adults and 6 children) with room to spare!

The house and views were amazing! We had a great time! Chris was a great host!

Great place to stay. We had a mini family reunion. Everyone had their own bedroom and en suite bath. Lots of room to hang out. Great sunsets from the deck.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. We came with another couple and even invited the grown kids to stay a night in the 3rd bedroom. Everyone had their own space. This trip was all about finding the little things in the house. (Extension cords under the bed for easy phone charging, coffee pods provided, full-service kitchen) Never did we need something that was not provided. We also had another family next door in the attached unit but never knew they were there, except for friendly conversation on the front porch. Even a gifted bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Romy's home is the perfect Airbnb for a relaxing vacation. We planned a 'Girls Gone Mild' bachelorette party at this home and it was absolutely perfect. The layout was great for a large group, so many spaces and enough bathrooms. The outdoor space was amazing too, between the second floor deck, the hot tub and sunbathing deck, fire pit and the private beach, there was something for everyone. We had made plans to go to a winery, festival, and a nice dinner in Virginia Beach. We cancelled everything because once we got there we all just wanted to spend our time at the amazing house.
