Family-friendly vacation rentals in North Sea

What a wonderful stay we had here! Beautiful super spacious farmhouse with a large garden with a view so beautiful! Bedrooms large wonderful beds! And of course also enjoyed the Jacuzzi! Aljanneke is a perfect host/hostess. Everything was arranged! Delicious beers, fresh apple juice! We will definitely be back! Surroundings are beautiful for both cycling and hiking and then also the beautiful places Deventer and Zutphen nearby!

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the apartment for a weekend and felt very comfortable. With the bikes you could easily reach the nearby metro station and we had a good time in Amsterdam. The landlords were very friendly and always easily accessible. I highly recommend this place for Amsterdam stays.

We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend staying with Christine – especially for families with small children! Already upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. The play barn was decorated with a lot of love for detail and excellently equipped – a real paradise for our 2-year-old son. He was particularly enthusiastic about the animals, which he greeted every morning with joy. The time on the pasture was a real highlight for him, and he already misses the animal friends. The apartment also left nothing to be desired: very clean, well equipped and with everything you need for a relaxing family vacation. The large garden was a dream – with a natural pool, sauna and many play options for our little one. As parents, we were able to really switch off in between. The surroundings offer many beautiful excursion destinations, which are also easily doable with small children. We felt completely comfortable. Thanks for everything!!

We spent 4 nights at this place, and absolutely loved it! The location is in the country along a canal. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. What a gem! I highly recommended this place to others!

What a fun experience! And what a terrific host! In a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. To say we got to stay on a houseboat in Amsterdam is always going to be a fun memory! But note, it is definitely a boat. You must be fully able bodied to access the boat and get around comfortably inside. The kitchen is suitable for snacks. And as with most European AirBnBs, bring your own bath products.

Clean and beautiful accommodation with everything you need. The animals and the hot tub were our highlight.

This place is so adorable! It has an amazing terrace, and right in the center of the city with so much to do. The place was so comfortable and had all the amenities we would have needed. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking to explore Amsterdam!

Check-in was straightforward and all the important information was super prepared. The highlight is the view over the water and the terrace, from which you can directly access the lake via a ladder. We were already there for the second time and would be happy to come back.

We had a very relaxing 5 nights. Kees and Karen were impeccable hosts, laidback and always helpful. We didn't come by car, but it's easy to get into Utrecht either by bus or tram. Would definitely book again.

What a gift this stay in the beautiful backyard at Lucy's. A perfect addition to completely unwind. It has made me humble and really made me feel how simple life is. Lucy herself is also a very warm and wise woman where I felt really welcome. The short but beautiful conversations and the loving attentions make the stay a memorable one. Definitely recommended if you are looking to get close to yourself and the nature around you. I'd love to come back ❤️

Our first airbnb experience and it couldn't be better. The stay is perfect. Beautiful, spacious, neat, clean and all necessities and more are present. Clear and quick responses to questions. Next year again!

The house is bright and located in a beautiful garden. The location is ideal for exploring the landscape of the Schoorlsen dunes by bike or on foot. Groet offers a few great restaurants that are not so crowded with tourists. Ideal for individualists who love some peace and relaxation. If we come back to the area, we would love to stop here again.

At Wendela and Martin you have a lovely quiet (private) place. They live on the road themselves, but behind they have built a cottage with everything you need. Also a private terrace where it was wonderful to spend the evening. Wendela and Martin are very friendly, warm welcome with delicious strawberries and cold drinks in the fridge. The cottage is full of comforts and has good beds and a nice shower. We were looking for a place to stay because our son participated in the Ironman 70.3 and then this place is definitely recommended. But it is also a good base to take beautiful bike rides. We have therefore had a number of wonderful days.

We were warmly welcomed and personally led by Marieke and one of her daughters to the apartment, where everything was shown and explained to us. For children, there are many play opportunities, such as the game collection in the apartment, swing, trampoline and outdoor pool. Balance bikes/scooters and sand toys may also be used. Our daughter was very happy that she was allowed to play when the girls were also outside. All the family members we met are very friendly and helpful. When it happened, there was also time for a little conversation. The location in the countryside was a beautiful place. We had bicycles with us, with which we rode to the surrounding villages, to the beaches and to go shopping.

Great location. Walking distance to Cocksdorp. At the edge of the park, therefore a nice view and tranquility. Easily traveled by car. Three bathrooms, so good for groups (in our case three families) and yet privacy and private place.

Really a nice and cozy stay with a lovely view on garden and nature. You can walk onto the heath in no time. Everything that is needed is also present in the garden everything perfect. The outdoor kitchen can also be used with rain due to the spacious canopy. Friendly hostess who also responds quickly to the app.

Lovely stay in a small but nice apartment. Beach just a stone's throw away. Baker, restaurants nearby. Highly recommended for a short stay. Will come back again.

The cottage is on a small-scale green park, where you can go with your dog. In fact, it was Pentecost weekend and I've never seen so many dogs. All on a leash and only friendly dogs. With a few minutes walk you are in the forest, where - in some places - the dog can also go off the leash. There is also a communal swimming pool that you can use. The cottage is comfortable, the bed is good and also in a nice place where you have no view. Communication with the hostess, Jacq , is perfect. She responds immediately to any question. Thank you for the nice days.

We spent a lovely, relaxing long weekend at Madeleen‘s place, a cute apartment in a charming old house with a gorgeous garden directly by the Ijsselmeer. While there is no proper kitchen, Madeleen provides everything you need to make yourself a coffee or a sandwich, with a coffeemaker and a large fridge at your disposal. There is a pretty good restaurant in walking distance, and quite a few more a short car drive away. Getting to Amsterdam is easy, and after a busy day in the city, the garden and the quiet are absolutely wonderful, as is a quick dip in the cool water. Madeleen‘s friend Anna welcomed us and was a perfect hostess who we very much enjoyed chatting with. We had a great time and hope to visit again sometime soon. Thanks for everything!

If you are looking for peace, this is the place to be! It is incredibly beautiful and a relaxed atmosphere in the garden with the lake. The house has everything you need, I didn't miss anything. For me, the most important thing was the sauna, which also creates a good temperature, with the lake for cooling off/swimming. The landscape nearby is very nice and varied.
