Treehouse vacation rentals in North Region

I had a wonderful week in a magnificent treehouse in the incredible primary forest with Cassandra and Juan and the extended Machiguenga family. It exceeded expectations, an hours boat ride up the Madre de dios river to a remote part of the jungle where we were met by the Machiguengas, the most lovely people you could wish to meet, who helped carry bags and supplies to the base within the forest. The facilities are basic but perfectly functional, the food is amazing and Juan and Cassandra are incredibly attentive ensuring I had everything I needed to adapt to the tropical conditions. A great place to relax, learn about the indigenous people( I helped harvest brazil nuts), jungle life and reflect, I would highly recommend it to anyone escaping the rat race. It’s revelatory, nourishment for the soul. If you need to put your life in balance your in safe hands here, and you’re also helping to preserve a small parcel of pristine forest while supporting an ancient tribe of indigenous indians

Desde Leticia hay trasporte público a $3.500 por persona. A la cabaña se camina como 1 km con un guía. Cabaña, sábanas. toallas y camas muy limpias. Dormimos bien. Tiene doble malla en ventanas y mosquitero en camas. El sendero está señalizado y equipado para evitar barro y pozas. Nos facilitaron botas pantaneras. El guía iba muy rápido y nosotras estábamos muy cansadas y con mochila. Había llovido y temíamos resbalar de los troncos. La caminata nocturna es por el mismo sendero que se recorrió para ingresar, lo cual es una desilusión. El comedor está cerrado con mosquitero. Hay 3 menús para elegir. La comida es exquisita, la adaptan para vegetarianos. Hay dispensador de agua en recepción y en la cabaña. No tome agua del grifo. Se escuchan aviones, y ruidos de ciudad y de otras cabañas. Es una reserva hermosa, pero no es lo mismo que estar en la selva primaria. Para eso hay que ir a las comunidades indígenas como Macedonia. Recomendable como experiencia intermedia entre selva y ciudad.

Israel é um excelente anfitrião, e sua casa é MUITO especial. É exatamente como parece ser nas fotos e no anúncio: um lugar incrível para descansar e estar em contato mais próximo da natureza, localizado em um bairro afastado do centro de Alter do Chão que vale muito conhecer. E as dicas de Israel para viajantes também são ótimas - ele mora lá há anos, e conhece muito bem toda região.

Fantástico sitio para compartir con la familia y amigos en medio de bellos paisajes, extraordinarios espacios y originales esculturas. Estupenda atención del anfitrión y del personal del lugar. Casa linda y acogedora. Comida exquisita. Un lugar recomendado para disfrutar.

It’s hard to write a standard Airbnb review of Novalis as it’s just such a unique life experience! My husband and I are city slickers who had never been to the jungle before, so first and foremost - if that’s you, just go! You’ll be ok! Juan, Cassandra and Farhana went above and beyond to make sure that there was no detail we had to worry about. Everything was taken care of - from the long email exchange prior with all our pesky questions, to the transit in, to helping us get covid tests for our departure (and much more). Not to mention the great conversation. We’re so grateful to this team of genuine, caring people. In terms of the accomodation - it’s a really beautiful experience staying in the treehouse and hearing the jungle symphony. There are inevitably bugs around, but we came in thinking we’d be eaten alive and it was a lot less than expected. The outdoor shower was a beautiful experience, compost toilets were clean and odour free (they’ve done a great job!). Food was wonderfully simple, nourishing and grounding. And finally - the ceremony in the maloka, what a unique life experience. We’ll remember it forever. Special thanks to Loyver, Juan and Yuri for holding a beautiful, gentle space for our group. And to Farhana for the magical agua de floras afterwards! Things to be aware of if you’re not already; there’s no electricity so pack your head torch for walking at night. Pack a towel and flip flops. Be aware that there’s a walk in from the boat - it has a small steep part, but should be ok for most fitness levels. I could say so much more but to keep it short - I’d say just go!

The treehouse was an amazing experience! It was surprisingly well built and was spacious. I was also surprised how there were no mosquitos inside (and I am a mosquito magnet!) it was a treck to get to the treehouse but we had a wonderful guide to show our way back and forth and felt at ease. We were able to do the activities Tanimboca offered such as the zip line and night walk and was easily arranged when we arrived. Juan was very responsive to all my questions. A must stay when in the Amazonas

Todo es hermoso. Súper recomendado el lugar es hermoso ,El personal muy atento todo muy limpio y la siembra del árbol lo máximo . Yohelis y Pepe 🐶encantos . Jesús muy servicial 🌳 Gracias por estos días maravillosos con mi esposo la pasamos muy bien .

Un gran lugar pra descansar y desconectarse! Jairo fue muy atento y amable y salió a caminar con nosotros. Lo recomiendo y me volvería a quedar. La fogata fue muy especial. El lugar queda a unos 10 minutos del pueblo en carro. Great place to relaz and chill. Jairo was very attentive and go out walking with us. I recommend it and would stay again. I loved the bonfire. The place is about 10 minutes from the town

El lugar se encuentra adentro de Villa Águeda, un espacio lleno de naturaleza y tranquilidad. Cuentan con varias cabañas, todas geniales. Esta cabaña en el árbol es genial para una noche en pareja aunque no la recomiendo para personas altas (el baño los puede incomodar). El misticismo de estar rodeado de árboles en la noche es genial para escuchar música o estar en compañía. El wifi en esta ubicación no llega tan bien, pero los operadores típicos no fallan. Muy genial la estadía y la caminata que se puede hacer por la hectárea.

Claudia y Juan David excelentes anfitriones. El lugar precioso, perfecto para descansar y desconectarse del ruido de la ciudad y de diversas distracciones. El alojamiento muy lindo, cómodo y con una vista encantadora.

If you get the chance to stay here, book immediately. If I am ever in Peru again I will definitely want to stay here again. The treehouse is very romantic and well kept. The people are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was in a beautiful spot near the river and we enjoyed a great BBQ for dinner with Mojitos. It is walking distance from the train station or you can take an uber. I cannot find the right words to describe this place, it's magical and you should go :)
