This house has been inhabited since the 1960s, and has accompanied many people through their youth and daily lives. We didn't tear it down, but took the time to slowly organize and repair it, preserving its skeleton and personality, and hoping that it would continue to carry new stories and traces of life. There is no pretentious decoration here, but there is the warmth unique to an old house. You'll see wooden windows, iron lattices, old furniture, and the light and smell of an old house. The light and shadow by the window, the shadow at the corner of the stairs, and the texture of the stone floor make the whole space soft and quiet. We try to make it comfortable and cozy, but we don't want to change its original look. The location of the house is excellent, the city attractions Hai 'an Road, Guohua Street, Shennong Street are all within walking distance; the famous Wind Temple, Siro Hall, Hai 'an Palace can be commended by neighbors. The little house has the unique charm of an old home and is fully functional, providing a great base for travelers to explore the old city. We welcome everyone to stop and stay in Tainan for a month to visit this city with the deepest culture in all of Taiwan, and feel the atmosphere of living in the ancient capital.

"Laohu" was remodeled from an old house in Taiwan in the 1960s, retaining a warm wooden atmosphere and vintage charm. Due to the architectural structure, the sound insulation is slightly inferior to that of a typical modern building, and some sounds may be heard occasionally. If you're more concerned about a quiet environment, we recommend booking after evaluating to ensure a more comfortable stay. Lahu is located in Wuzhaigang Cultural Park, a downtown area of Tainan City, and can be reached on foot to Shui Xian Gong Market, Guohua Street, Shennong Street, and Hai'an Road in 5-10 minutes. The first floor is a restaurant, the second and third floors are homestays, the stairs of the old house are steep, please be careful when going up and down the stairs. (Lahu has three rooms, two on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd floor.)
