Cottage vacation rentals in Norfolk County

We had an amazing stay at this house! The space was exactly as pictured—clean, comfortable, and perfect for our guys and sons baseball weekend. Renting the bunkie for the teen boys was a great addition, giving us plenty of room to relax. Our favorite spot by far was the outside deck. Between the TV, jacuzzi, and fire pit, we spent every night outdoors, unwinding and enjoying the atmosphere. We had a small issue with the jacuzzi breaker after the 3rd time using it, but the hosts were incredibly responsive, quickly calling back to assist. Their attentiveness made our stay even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Miranda was a great host and the cottage was perfect for our family of four. Finding the place and getting inside was easy. The location was super walkable; we went for dinner one night and visited the beach a few times. The store being so close by for firewood and other necessities was very convenient. There were lots of games and movies to keep us occupied on a rainy day. Highly recommend and we might be back for another stay!

We had such a great stay at Christian’s place! The home was clean and exactly as described. Everything we needed was available, from a well-stocked kitchen to spacious living area. The firewood and campfire roasting sticks provided were such a nice touch and made our nights by the fire effortless. Communication was easy and quick, and check-in was a breeze. The location was peaceful and private, but still close to everything we wanted to explore.

Rhenna was a really responsive host. Her place was really great and was a great amount of space for our group of 6 adults and 1 child. The simplicity of the airbnb allowed us to settle well. Turkey point is only 10 minutes away and was so beautiful. It is a great location to get away from the city. Some pointers for future renters are that bringing bug spray is a necessity and the nearest supermarket is about 20 minutes away. Thank you Rhenna for your accommodation!

Swanny Lakehouse was the perfect getaway.❤️ The pictures do not do justice for the beauty…inside and out. We booked the location for a peaceful getaway and we experienced one of our favorite vacays so far! Sandbox 2.0 looks like a cute little cottage from the street but inside it has a spacious living room/lounge area, large kitchen area with a dining table for 6, and everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals for everyone. A door at the back leads from the kitchen to a beautiful back deck with patio furniture and a BBQ, over looking a back yard equipped with bird feeders, and a fire pit surrounded by deck chairs. We enjoyed watching birds at the feeder and in the surrounding trees in the morning sun on the back deck and from the kitchen window. There's a queen bed in a beautiful newly-added master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and a double bed in each of two smaller bedrooms adjacent to the living room/lounge area. Lots to do at the beach, Long Point Bird Observatory, and in the nearby conservation areas, and trails. In early May, it was relatively quiet with lots of room in parking areas. Watching the migrating birds was made easier with trees just starting to leaf out.

We highly recommend Sabrina's cottage. It has everything for a short or long vacation for a family with kids. The living room has a nice decor and the kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is renovated and there is always hot water. Sabrina installed new outdoor shower this year, which is a very nice touch. We used the front deck for quiet time and the back deck for most of our meals. The cottage is across the road from the lake and public entrance and a walking distance to a local grocery store and a restaurant.

We enjoyed the stay at long point. It was perfect for bird watching which was the main reason for going. The weather was a bit cold and nasty during May but that was unusual this year. Despite that Suzanne's place was so nice that we stayed in and rested which was much needed. When there was a little bit of sun we sat on the front porch and saw the bald eagle flying overhead. My wife loved the area, so it was a success from my point of view. Thank you Suzanne.

Julie’s place is in a fantastic location—just a short walk to the beach and with a convenience store right across the street. Everything we needed was close by, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The home itself was perfect for a family getaway. The kids had a great time with the foosball table and other games available. We especially enjoyed the evenings spent around the campfire and grilling on the BBQ. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Julie’s place for a fun and relaxing stay!

Bill’s place was exactly as described. Had a wonderful fire in the fire pit one afternoon and evening. Lots of utensils and pots and pans for cooking. Was there for a wedding in nearby Simcoe and some of the group came to spend time to relax with us at Bill’s place. Thanks so much for the use of their cottage. Mike

We loved everything about this place. Show stopping beachfront with cozy and convenient extras. We brought our kids but would’ve loved this for just us adults too. We hope to come back again.

We stayed at Paul's cottage in Vittoria for 3 nights in August 2024. The checkin process was smooth and Paul provided clear instructions on checkin. All communication prior to checkin and throughout our stay was friendly and Paul was extremely responsive. Paul's cottage is clean and well maintained. The bed linens and towels were clean and suited our needs. There were even beach towels for our use on our trips to the beach. The cottage matched the description and photos on Airbnb and the amenities all worked well. The location was great as it was a 5 minute walk to the beach. The Sand Bar, a popular local restaurant, is also a short walk away. The neighbours and people in the area were all friendly. There is room for at least 2 cars in the driveway. We also biked to the local park and the beach a few times as all the attractions are quite close. Paul was a great host and was quick to respond if we had a question or needed anything. We would definitely stay at Paul's cottage again.

We stayed at Darlene's place for a week. The place is very clean and comfortable. Everything is as described on the site. It is very close to the beach and close to the Turkey Point bike trails. Darlene is an amazing host. She was very responsive and helpful. Overall we had a great time.

We had a greater time and experience in Leo’s place. The place is amazing and very close to the beach. Leo was so easy to communicate with and kept in touch with us throughout incase we needed anything. Everything was provided in cottage, comfy beds/clean, equipped kitchen, so didn’t need anything. We will definitely be coming back.

Great little cottage to stay at. Minutes to walk to the beach, which was awesome. Friendly neighbors. Easy to get in and out of. Comfortable accommodations. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. Clean, with everything we needed for a cottage getaway. Great, peaceful location with a great view of the lake. Short drive to Port Dover. We had a great stay and hope to return in the future!

We loved our stay at Ying’s place! We booked it to view the solar eclipse and it was perfect. Very lovely deck and view of Lake Erie. Ying was very communicative and flexible with our checkin and checkout times since it was the off season and I appreciated that.
