Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Eurovision movie apartment located in the heart of Húsavík, the whale watching capital, is the best place to stay to experience local Icelandic vibes. This house was built in 1904 which makes it one of the oldest (and coolest :) houses in Húsavík. What is more, the Eurovision movie was shot there. 2 floors apartment with 3 bedrooms and huge spacious living room gonna make your stay unforgettable. The house has 6 bedrooms with two 160 cm beds, three 140 cm beds and one 130 cm bed. The kitchen is well equipped. There are two washing machines in the house and two dryers. There is a small stream in front of the house, and the house is located in a beautiful valley with a river. It takes 30 minutes to go to Húsavík, Myvatn, Dimmuborgir and it is 40 minutes drive to Akureyri. 10 people can stay in the house.

Liebevoller Aufenthalt. Agnieszka und ihr Mann haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und wir haben tolle Gespräche geführt. Wir haben viele Tipps bekommen für unseren Besuch in Island. Das Zimmer ist vergleichsweise klein, dafür ist die restliche Wohnung sehr groß. Sehr schönes Bad und Küche. Sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen, man hat sich direkt heimisch gefühlt.

Nous avons été très malchanceux avec le temps mais heureusement que le logement proposé ainsi que les hôtes était accueillants, chaleureux. Nous avons été accueilli directement par Laura et Miro à notre arrivée. Nous avons discuté et fait connaissance autour d'un thé. Puis Laura nous a recommandé deux trois restaurants pour le soir. Comme nous n'avons pas pu faire le tour en bateau pour voir les baleines à cause du mauvais temps, Miro nous a recommandé d'autres compagnies vers Akuryeri pour le reste de notre voyage (car il travaille pour Gentle Giant). La nuit s'est très bien passé et nous reviendrons ici si nous revenons à Husavik dans le futur ! 😀

The Vogafjós Farm Resort by Lake Mývatn was a lovely place to stay. The newborn lambs, dairy cows, and authentic Icelandic breakfast were delightful. We did learn that the lake's name comes from the large numbers of midges present in the summer—large numbers were an understatement—but FYI, midges do NOT bite, so no worries. You will love the accommodations and staff at the Vogafjós Farm!

La chambre était parfaite : très propre et spacieuse. La cuisine est super bien équipée avec tout le nécessaire pour se faire à manger. Les instructions étaient très claires et l’arrivée autonome permet d’être flexible. Le logement est situé en plein cœur de la ville, endroit calme et paisible ; tout peut se faire à pieds au besoin. Je recommande sans hésiter ! 😁
