We had an amazing stay at this Norwegian hytte! The location is breathtakingly beautiful, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The quiet surroundings made for restful nights, with comfortable beds and a hot shower to enjoy after a day of exploring. We loved the wood-fired hot tub, kayak, and fishing gear that added to the fun and unforgettable experience. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was plenty of space for our luggage. The price was fair, and it's easily the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. We would definitely book again!

Exceptional place! Alone at the end of the world above the fjord... one of the best views of our stay. A cute cabin built by our host. Very well equipped and very beautifully decorated. An absolutely amazing place to stay - the easiest 5-star review I’ve ever given! Breathtaking views from this beautiful and secluded cabin. The hot tub and fire pit are wonderful and the entire property is gorgeous, just like you can see in the photos. Two things to be aware of: 1) It’s a 3-4 min hike down to the cabin from the road where you park, but the hosts provided clear instructions for where to park and were super helpful in bringing our luggage down and back up during check-in and check-out. 2) There is another cabin right next to this one which the hosts also rent out. During the weekend that my wife and I were here, there was nobody staying in the other cabin so the area was a private oasis for us. Worth keeping in mind though that you’ll be sharing the space with others a bit though if anyone is staying in the other cabin. It’s a beautiful place and absolutely lives up to the photos in the listing. The hosts are helpful, friendly, and speak good English. 5/5!

Cute, cozy cabin right on a gorgeous lake with a million dollar view. I know it's cliché but, the pictures absolutely do not do justice to what the view is actually like. Just perfect! The cabin is far enough from town to feel remote but close enough to town to take care of any grocery or dining needs.

We had a longer stay of 7 nights with Bottolf and Siw during our Norway trip – and it was just great! The place was mainly used for relaxation, for which the Jacuzzi was absolutely perfect. The house was very well equipped, clean and cozy – you immediately felt comfortable. We would particularly like to emphasize the warm hospitality: Bottolf regularly gave us great excursion tips and always inquired whether we were doing well and whether we needed anything else. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime. Thank you for the wonderful time!

We had a fantastic stay at Oddvar’s beautiful cabin; it had everything we needed and we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. The views from the hot tub and garden are incredible and very peaceful/private. The cabin was clean, tidy and felt very homely. We would certainly come back and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the local area, or explore further afield from such a lovely base home. Oddvar is a great host, good communication, responsive and friendly. 10/10 🙌🏻 Thank you!

An amazing, peaceful location. As Australians we had no idea how it would be to stay on an island in Norway. After a first day when we learnt it was important to allow time to get around the island to the ferry (thanks to tardy sheep), we enjoyed several days out to sightsee further afield. The house is most ideal for the wonderful views, hikes and peace of the island but, if you're willing to plan carefully, trips into the Sognfjord region are certainly possible. Very cozy and well-equipped apartment. An absolute dream. 😍 The area where the house is located and the house itself is actually so much more impressive than in the photos. Beautiful. 🤩 Perfectly clean - such a clean space is rarely seen. Everything you need for a short or longer stay is there. Very private and peaceful setting. Friendly landlord who provided great information in advance. 😊 Absolutely recommended.

Loved my stay at this accommodation, beautiful surroundings and was so relaxing. House felt like such a home and we were provided so many great recommendations for what to do during our stay. The host was very helpful and friendly, and she would always reply within minutes to any queries we had.

Unique stay with breathtaking surroundings. The cabin is super cozy, warm and equipped with everything. Sigbjorn was always available and took care of everything. Absolute recommendation!

Ellen´s cabin is great alternative for those seeking peace and quiet in cozy mountain surroundings and having an outdoorish attitude towards amenities. Our family of four had no problems in the close quarters, using a gas stove / an outhouse or ”surviving” without electricity. On the contrary, we relished the possibility to unwind in nature. Ellen had heated up the cabin before we arrived and everything was stylish and well thought. Thank you for a truly memorable stay.

‏This is place is a heaven on the earth. By far the best airbnb I have ever Stayed in. ‏The host was exceptional meet, greet and gave brief about everything. ‏The home is satiated on the lake, got all what you need. The kichen is fully equipped. The bathroom got underfloor heating. The living room has an amzing view of the mountains and the lake. ‏We loved grilling outside peaceful and wonderful views.

Quiet location on the lake and yet quickly in the next town for shopping or restaurant visits. We spent 2 nights there and got along well without a shower. The living room with the wood stove is especially cozy!

Jan-Oskar welcomed us very warmly to his mountain chalet. The place is ideal for exploring the area and enjoying the activities of the area (hiking, skiing, etc.). The chalet is large and modern. Loved our stay. Jan-Oskar is caring and he advised us very well on activities to see and do. Thanks for your hospitality!

My husband and I have had the most wonderful trip to the absolutely amazing cabin <3, we also ended up extending our stay because it was so beautiful, so 6 amazing days, we will definitely come back :) Everything was perfect. Wow for a place!! We look forward to the next visit there :-) thank you for everything.

I had a great stay at this beautiful cabin! The views were out of this world, magical! Many hiking trails starting right outside the door. The cabin itself is so cute and comes with a gas stove, a fireplace, a radio, lights on batteries. There's a water tank which you can fill up right outside, and the toilet is a 200m walk away but it's definitely clean for an outhouse! Make sure to check if your shoes are waterproof, my hiking boots apparently were not and that makes the walk to the toilet a lot less pleasant😅 Overall 10/10 stay in this beautiful landscape!! Make sure to bring your own map or download the map from norgeskart, and do your research on the hikes beforehand (e.g. Middagshornet is absolutely gorgeous but not for the inexperienced hiker)
