An additional small bedroom with a single bed is perfect for a 3rd guest or more space to spread out. Close to major attractions of the area and ideal to access the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Please note this is a Historic Shearer's Quarters. If you have mobility issues please be aware there are no ramps and only steps.

The Unit gives you all the comforts of home on your journey so you can relax and enjoy your stay. Taihape is a farming town and with the Main Highway going right through it's centre, plenty of choice for dining out. Taihape is commonly Warm summer and cold winter weather. We cater for both.

Trout Hideaway

Unlimited WiFi Warm three bedroom home with everything you need to be comfortable. In a quiet street cul de sac. Excellent wood burner and heat pump for those cold winter nights and air con for those hot summer nights. Close to Mount Ruapehu and Lake Taupo. Ideal for those wanting to ski, tramp, fish, or enjoy all the attractions around Central Plateau. Excellent base for the Tongariro Crossing. My place is close to family-friendly activities and restaurants and dining.

Cabin life in the country

2 cabins side by side with a forever changing view. Peace and quiet in the country to relax and unwind with family or friends. Each cabin is identical with a queen size bed, fridge, microwave and tv. There’s a spa pool between the 2 cabins. A bbq to cook your dinner on. The ablution block consists of a shower and toilet which is 10 metres away from the cabins . Attached is an outside sink to wash any dishes. There’s also a gym to use which is free to guests.
