The Sugar Shack

Very comfortable & very private cabin, set in the Pine trees. You feel as though you are camping but with all the comforts of a cozy cabin. The lighting system is 12 V. Also has a 12 V. socket for charging phones. Excellent spot to hone your bushcraft skills!! Also an excellent winter get away, cabin is very warm and cozy with the Jotul woodstove for warmth. (must have woodstove experience). We are sorry but we do not allow dogs or cats due to hair allergies.

From the second we arrived Monica made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were showed to our private cabin overlooking the lake, given a quick tour of the amenities and settled in for an incredible stay. The site and the views are just like the pictures, but better in person. Kitchen was stocked with necessities and a few small appliances, propane full for the BBQ and outdoor shower water heater. A hammock, deck and private dock all within feet of the cabin as well. I really want to stress how great of a host Monica was. Thank you for helping make such a memorable trip for us. 10/10 recommend. can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy home in Newburgh. The space was a wonderful mix of historic charm and modern comfort, clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. Steven and Catherine were always responsive and left the most thoughtful welcome treats for us to enjoy. While we had fun exploring neighbouring areas, we always looked forward to coming back and relaxing in our home away from home. Our pup had the best time as well! Would highly recommend a stay here and we hope to be able to visit again.

My fiance and I and our corgi henry stayed here for a night and it was exactly as listed! Beautiful propety for a nice getaway. We enjoyed the wildlife and the hiking trail. Would deffinately come back ! 10/10.

The barn has a charming and comfortable vibe, and it was the ideal location since it’s only about an hour away from the 1000 Islands Rockport Cruise. It made for a memorable and scenic get away. Had a beautiful weekend away in the dome! We loved the area and the dome itself was also beautiful. Our little dog had an absolute blast too! And despite the cold temperatures, the dome and Anna were prepared for everything. The only issue was the first night it was very buggy, but that was to be expected in the location and we had the tools provided to deal with it! Would highly recommend :)
