Vacation rentals with a fireplace in New London

Overall we very much enjoyed modern rural space. Kiss the Cow farm about 5min drive was amazing& we got most all main food there w/ additional items from Barnard General Store. Spices/ cookware were very good - we brought nonstick pans& 1 knife to supplement. Plenty bowls, measuring cups/spoons, maybe a set of tom collins glasses would be nice albeit stemless wine and rocks glasses available. Needs garlic/onion powder. Tub was amazing/ upstairs bathroom a true getaway/ relaxing space. It was as pictured albeit note spiral staircase &open grated flooring upstairs. Plenty of windows albeit not much cross breeze so think ahead if bring own fan and/or start A/C before get too warm. I would say you must have an SUV year round for this rental - surrounding roads/ driveway are a good distance on rough dirt/gravel - traversable yet a sportier car with low profile tires/ ground clearance would not work. We enjoyed simply walking driveway& East Barnard Rd. Barnard Inn restaurant worth it.

Absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was something special. The property was immaculate—clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Every detail, from the cozy bedding to the pristine kitchen, was perfection and made our trip unforgettable. Judith went above and beyond in every way, and clearly thought of everything a guest would need to feel right at home. She is also very responsive and easy to communicate with Without question, this property sets the gold standard for all Airbnb rentals. If every Airbnb were like this one, hotel chains would be out of business. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be back. Mahalo you for an exceptional stay and A Hui Hou!

We rented the house for a "girls" weekend and to get away for a couple days. Because my GPS was not working as well when I got closer to the property, it was initially a little challenging to find the street, but we knew where it was after the first time. The instructions to get into the house were very clear and easy. The house was clean with the beds made and towels were available on the beds. While we didn't cook during our stay, it appeared to have all necessary utensils, pots, and pans, including a coffee maker with coffee (which we did use). Wifi worked well once we were in the house. There was a notebook with specific directions for water, trash, wifi, cleanup, etc., which was very helpful. The screened-in porch was great as we ended up spending quite a bit of time there to chat, read, and play darts. The setting itself was very peaceful with the stream running through the back of the property. Overall, we had a nice, relaxing weekend.

This is the second time we've stayed at Kym's house. We love the historic character and quirky features of the house. Kym and Bob are great hosts and always responsive. The house is so close to Sunapee and Ragged Mountains, so it's the perfect spot for a ski getaway. Love to come back to the fireplaces after a day of skiing!

Book this place immediately if you’re looking for a relaxing family stay, situated minutes from gorgeous beaches with swimming lakes and want to spend evenings bbqing and looking at the incredible view. This is a stunning property ideal for a large group. We only wound up with nine guests for our daughter's graduation weekend, but would have been comfortable with quite a few more given how many beds and bathrooms there are. We wished we could've stayed more than two nights to enjoy the many games and accoutrements. We love the New London area (don't miss Blue Loon Bakery!) and hope we get to return someday. Sean was lightning-quick to respond to our few inquiries and eager to be helpful. Great hosts and a great property!

Staying here is always a joy for the entire family! It has become an annual tradition that we all look forward to in winter. Thank you for being so accommodating with our schedule and a special thanks to Mitchell for going the extra mile to snow blow a waking path for me and the dogs to keep our daily routine of visiting the horses, after the last storm brought over 13” of snow. I did my proposal to my fiancée at Shannon’s cottage, and it was wonderful! This cottage is perfect for those who want to get away from everything! It’s quiet, cozy and perfect for workaholics that need to calm down. We had such a wonderful stay, the clawfoot tub is wonderful. There wasn’t a single instruction that wasn’t given

Loved staying at Henniker Manor. Amenities listed were all included and area was clean and neat. Bedrooms were satisfactory and kitchen was large and clean as well. Host was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay at Henniker Manor!

This place was very spacious! It’s bigger than it looks in the pictures. Korene greeting us and was very friendly and helpful. The house was clean and in a great location. Close enough to downtown concord that you can walk. 10/10 recommend!

Perfect stay for us . We were able to ski as well as watch movies on the Roku tv during some windy , cold weather . Comfortable beds . Electric fireplace made the living area very cozy . We were able to visit family in the area and continue on to Ice Castles a bit north . We will be back when we can . Plenty of storage for bulky ski jackets and pants in coat closet . Didn’t use the washer and dryer but definitely would if we stayed longer . Thanks Tracy and Ryan . Ps very attentive snow removal during quite a storm. Also reached out to let us know they had some backup power ready to run the fridge and heat just incase. Super hosts indeed .

Katherine’s space was so cozy! It was exactly what I needed for a retreat from daily life. I found both the loft and the daybed very comfortable. There were dimmers on most of the light fixtures, which was important to me because I like low-light settings. The kitchen included a counter with stools and was really quite beautiful. This Airbnb was within walking distance to a local restaurant, the general store and a food co-op. I decided not to rent a car because I was there for R&R., however , if you had a car, just a few minutes outside of town you would see beautiful trees all with leaves in there spring splendor. You could get to Brattleboro in about 20 minutes if you’re looking for more choices of restaurants.. (I decided to take the train up so I took a taxi to the Airbnb from the train and back to the train at the end of my trip.). Although it rained most of the time I was there, it was perfect for my goal of R&R.

Thanks Virginia! This was the perfect stay for my son’s graduation. The location is easy to access Plymouth and Holderness. The apartment had everything I needed and your property is beautiful. Fortunately I did not meet up with any bears at Bear’s Nest.

A very cute basement apartment below a family home with plenty of space to explore. We had only stayed one night but would’ve felt comfortable staying longer in this lovely space. The hosts provided many snacks in a little welcome basket as well as ingredients to make breakfast sandwiches. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice retreat with a lovely space around them.

What a wonderful, charming and beautiful place to stay. We loved being able to relax during the day as well and the town was lovely with everything in walking distance including trails right outside the door. A favorite!

My best friend and I had a lovely, relaxing weekend at Steve’s place! Walking distance to everything we needed, and Surfside Burger right downstairs was phenomenal 🙂

This was such an incredible place to stay! The whole mansion is absolutely stunning, the surroundings and views are beautiful. However, what made this stay truly special was the incredible kindness and hospitality of the host. This was a wonderful experience and we are all looking forward to our next stay!

This was a perfect spot for us as we attended a graduation. It was clean, had plenty of room and then goodness had coffee and a filter for the pot! Would highly recommend.

Really nice place it had lots of fun amenities! My only complaint is that there were some basics that were missing from the kitchen (salt, pepper, olive oil, cutting board etc.).
