Black Rock Stables was built as an equestrian facility; however, the focus is now on providing small scale dog/cat boarding and the breeding of healthy and happy Scottish terriers. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. It typically has good cell phone coverage and we have wifi. The private ocean beach w/brackish pond are an 8 min walk away. Walk the beach for miles and rarely cross paths with others. Come and be close to nature and make memories. Peaceful and serene.

This wee cottage is decorated for those witchy vibes! It has one queen bed, breakfast table and kitchenette with micro, fridge, toaster, counter top burner and sink. All dishes, linens, kitchen supplies and shampoo/soap is provided. Kitchenette for simple meal prep. Please bring your own coffee. Full bathroom w/ walk-in shower. Private BBQ and yard with screen tent. Cottage driveway is steep but well maintained; no bikes, please. Muted traffic noise may be noticeable at times. No dogs.

Woodsy Cabin on the Bras d'Or

Beautiful, rustic cabin sits cozily surrounded by woodlands. This one room retreat boasts a south west vista of the Bras d'Or Lake, includes a veranda with gorgeous sunsets, king size bed and access to the beach. It is half way between Baddeck and Sydney and a perfect spot for anyone travelling the Cabot Trail. Firewood provided for fire pit if the burn ban is not in effect. Kayaks are available to use at your own risk, with life jackets, and if you are experienced in paddling.

Relax with the family at this peaceful home away from home in scenic Big Bras d'Or. We are only 15 minutes to North Sydney and the Newfoundland Ferry, 30 minutes to Sydney, 20 minutes to the Englishtown ferry and 30 minutes to Baddeck. This cottage is quaintly tucked in the woods but only a ten minute walk to the shore and a beautiful sandy beach. We are also a 5 minutes stroll to the Bird Island Boat Tours. Note: Only small non shedding dogs due to allergies.
