Pet-friendly vacation rentals in New Bern

This is a great place to stay and relax. Tim was very responsive and proactive. We were checking in the day after a bad snow storm and he contacted us right away to let us know how the roads were and what to expect. Since it was snowy and cold, we did not get to use the amenities. But the house is located right next to the kayak launch area and it was a very short drive to the pool/club house. We come to this area often and will definitely be staying here again!

We had a fantastic stay! The place is private yet close to all the fun on the island, with easy access to the beach—just a short five-minute walk across the street. The home is beautifully furnished, with comfy beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and spotlessly clean throughout. The air conditioning kept everything perfectly cool, and we loved relaxing on the deck on with peaceful views of the sound. Our grandkid had a blast testing his fishing skills from the dock, and our cat adored watching the boats across the intracoastal waterway. There’s also a nice pool, quiet surroundings, and good parking. Everything you need for beach days is provided—you really don’t need to bring a thing! Kristin is an amazing host—super responsive, thoughtful, and helpful with great suggestions. Thank you again for a wonderful and relaxing stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The property was peaceful and private with a beautiful view right next to the canal. My kids especially had a blast fishing off the dock — it quickly became their favorite part of the trip. The setting was perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together. We would definitely love to come back!

We had an amazing stay! The property was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The water view was stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. Our teens loved the variety of games and spent hours enjoying them. The nearby rec center and putt putt course were a huge hit and added to the fun. Communication with the host was quick, friendly, and helpful—they made everything easy from start to finish. The location was perfect, close to everything yet peaceful and quiet. We’ll definitely be back!

Lisa’s place was great! It was cozy and the design was really well thought out. She had a lot of nice little touches and it was easy to feel right at home. The couches were so comfortable which made it super easy to relax. Lisa was really responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend if you’re coming to Oriental!

The condo was exactly as pictured and easy to get to. The view from the porch/seating area was beautiful! Dawn was communicative and helpful. we would definitely stay here again

Staying at this Airbnb felt like a true escape. The location couldn't have been better – being mere steps from the beach was such a treat, allowing for spontaneous walks and the calming sound of the waves. It was wonderful to find such a genuinely dog-friendly place; my pups absolutely loved it, which made the stay even more enjoyable for me. The entire atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and I found the off-season to be a particularly lovely time to visit, with beautiful weather and a sense of peacefulness. The property itself had everything I could possibly need, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. Amy was fantastic – always communicative and helpful, ensuring a smooth and easy stay. While there were plenty of options for things to do in the area, I also appreciated the opportunity to simply unwind and work remotely in such a serene setting. The upper deck was my favorite spot for getting sun many hours of the day. I’ve stayed in many airbnbs and this is a favorite!

We had a fantastic stay at Michelle’s place. The house and amenities exceeded our expectations. Having rented quite a few places in the Topsail/Surf City area, my wife and I agreed that this was a top favorite. Will certainly look here for future stays.

we really enjoyed our stay at Andys The place had enough beds to accommodate all of us and allowed us to have pets The massage chair was our funny for the trip as we all tried it and had reactions LOL The hot tub and fire place was great and the kitchen and laundry was so nice to use We didnt get time to use the other games etc We definitely will use again Andy was very responsive to messages

The property was amazing, a very quiet area to enjoy some peace. I went for the weekend with my family and the pups, they loved the backyard and the kids enjoyed the jacuzzi and running around. Michael was amazing host, super responsive on every need!

Loved the location. I wasn't sure about everyone in our group liking being so close to the "hubbub", but that ended up being what something we really liked about the place. Lots of things to do that are walkable. Shops, restaurants, bars, coffee houses, a beautiful walkway along the intracoastal waterway, a kids playground... And the view can't be beat! Well stocked kitchen- like truly everything you could possibly need. Lots of seating on the deck. All the things! Mom was over the moon about her 90th birthday celebration.

The house is clean, has a beach vibes throughout the house. Hot tub was a nice touch. My dogs loved the yard to run and play.

Our stay at this home was perfect! We had a few stormy times and were still able to be inside playing games in the beautiful, spacious living/kitchen area or outside in the hot tub. Our beach days were fabulous and we were thankful for the beach gear supplied for our use. The house was stocked with everything we needed to have a comfortable beach vacation! Karen and Christine were very responsive and helpful! I can’t say enough great things about this home!

Pretty sure we found the most perfect cabin to get away to for our short trip. The cabin was easy to find.. very clean.. kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. bed super comfy . we fished off the nearby dock. enjoyed our meals on the deck while watching pelicans and ibisis and gulls flying over us. perfect place for my pup to explore the water and run in the yard. we were also happy Brent stopped by and introduced himself and gave us lots of information on the area . and it was good to know he was just a call away if we needed anything. we will definitely be back. thanks again Brent for sharing this perfect place!

Our stay was so wonderful I need more stars. In town for my father’s memorial service, Megan’s home was the perfect blend of cozy warmth and spaciousness for our immediate family of five adults, and became the hub of extended family meals. For which reason the easy functionality of the kitchen is of note - it is well equipped and three of us could work in it at once without feeling like we were running from pillar to post. It’s an easy hop, skip and a jump from river serenity into historic New Bern and its restaurants, nightlife, and blocks and blocks of lovely old homes to walk and explore, and the highway out to the beaches. Megan is a kind and generous host who I hope to meet on a less busy future visit. We hope to make Breathe Inn (so well named!) our home away when in New Bern.

Paul’s house was perfect for a long weekend get away. House was clean and bed was very comfortable. Little notes told what needed to be done. Paul was responsive to messages. Just a note… it is on a corner of very busy main road and the side street was used a lot. Not sure how noise was in front bedroom at night but we had no noise in back bedroom. We were only there to sleep so it didn’t bother us. There is a great screen porch that we did enjoy. A great location for the beach. The bridge is right across the street. Convenient for grocery/ pharmacy, etc. would definitely stay again for the price of a beach get away

We stayed the weekend and had a lovely time, very relaxing. The beds are comfy and the place is peaceful.

We had an amazing Memorial Day weekend here, New Bern was amazing and so was Kelsey's place. we had just as much fun staying in and watching movies as we did going out. we felt right at home

The house was exactly what it shows. Very clean, very quiet location . We left some firewood for your next guest . This was a perfect place to sit back and relax with the family before and after the wedding we had attended. Thankyou for allowing us to use your home.

Dena's place was everything and then more. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in the fully fenced in backyard where it was helpful to let our pup free to run around and entertain in. The house was clean, it had everything that we needed, from the toiletries to the soft comfortable beds, it was a cozy and relaxing stay. Dena was responsive, friendly and super flexible to our needs. We are already planning our next time there. 5 stars all the way around.
