Welcome to the Building

The apartment is in an old 18th century farmhouse, located in the countryside 300 meters from the village of Renan(800 inhabitants). A cantonal road takes you to the capital (Bern) in 60 minutes, Zurich and Geneva in 2 hours. Access is also possible by public transport via Renan train station. This region is particularly suitable for hiking or horseback riding , the Franches-Montagnes, the Chasseral Natural Park and the nearby wind farm.

Single Bed in a 8-Bed dorm | Avenches Youth Hostel

Owing to comprehensive renovation and extension work carried out in 2013/14, this youth hostel is a favourite with hikers, cyclists, horse riders, culture vultures, language students, families and school classes alike. The former orphanage boasts a beautiful garden where willows and chestnut trees reach towards the skies, a bright and airy dining room, modern, functional rooms and a barrier-free wooden pavilion.

It is not possible to have your meals in the bedroom: a kitchen, dining room and two terraces are at your disposal upstairs. For our four-legged friends: it is also not allowed to drink/eat in the room: on the other hand, you can, without any other, put their bowl in the bathroom adjoining the room.
