We had a wonderful week staying here. It was a calming sanctuary after our busy days out exploring the area - so well equipped with a lovely decor. Sitting on the deck overlooking the canal was special. Jean-Christophe and Isa are fabulous hosts who welcomed us personally and kept in touch during our stay, this was a lovely touch when so far away from home. We had a truly memorable meal downstairs at Beau Rivage; book early so not to be disappointed (2 month waiting list). We can highly recommend, this was a highlight of our trip.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Isabelle 😁 Son studio est impeccable, très propre et soigné Il est idéalement situé à proximité de tous commerces et activités… à quelques minutes du lac …Tout peut se faire à pied! La résidence est paisible Très belle terrasse avec une vue dégagée sur le lac est un plus ! Isabelle est disponible et à l’écoute de ses hôtes Nous recommandons vivement cette location

Nous avons eu le plaisir de loger quelques jours chez Bertrand. Nous avons été agréablement surpris à notre arrivée car le descriptif et les photos sont plus "modestes" que la réalité :). Il s'agit d'un superbe gîte rural qui mêle l'ancien et le moderne dans un espace entièrement refait et décoré avec soin. Les pièces sont spacieuses et très agréables. Le logement est ouvert sur un vaste terrain ou les enfants peuvent se dégourdir les jambes :). Nous avons même eu le privilège d'avoir comme voisins de charmants ânes qui ont ravis notre petite fille. Environnement très calme, vue dégagée et très proche de plusieurs sites remarquables. Enfin, Bertrand est un hôte très agréable et qui a eu la délicate attention de nous laisser quelques surprises dans le frigidaire !

We spent a week at Ellen's place and enjoyed it thoroughly. The place is huge inside! We were only with the 2 of us, so used only 1 of the 5 bedrooms... While the house can easily accommodate 10 people, one should be aware that several bedrooms are connected and therefore do not offer much privacy. But 2-3 families with children would have enough space and privacy. The house has every amenity, except that you need to bring you own sheets and towels. But there is plenty of kitchen equipment, two wood stoves, a large gas cooking stove, 2 ovens, and tons of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, etc. And good WiFi! The house is one minute walk from the Semois River. Membre is a small village with 1-3 restaurants, depending on the season. A 10-min drive takes you to Vresse and Bohan where there are several other good restaurants and a supermarket. Lots of walks take you into the beautiful nature. We warmly recommend Ellen's place and may well come back ourselves one day !
