Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Nambucca Valley Council

We were 6 adults (1 couple and 4 singles) staying in Urunga for 3 nights. The house was clean, comfortable and in a great location. We didn't spend much time in the house during the day, (we were in Urunga for a dragon boating regatta) but it was a pleasure coming back to the house in the late afternoon. Be aware that Lucy does not live nearby so responding to messages can be slow-ish.

Beautiful surroundings, not far from. shops. Clean bedrooms and great fire pit. Perfect setup to our standards.

Place was great, had everything we needed for a family holiday. Very special sitting on that deck watching the waves roll in. Quick access down to the beach for a surf or a fish. Thanks again.

We’re two families from the Gold Coast who were looking for a peaceful getaway for a few days, away from Tropical Cyclone Alfred 2025. We were excited to find a relaxing spot to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The house had everything a family needs, it was clean, safe, close to a playground and coffee shop and a lovely area to walk around with friendly neighbors. Garry was a great host with clear instructions on everything and he was very kind and quick to respond.

My son and I had a lovely stay at Chanelle’s beach house. It is a cute retro cottage and styled perfectly with a casual beach shack vibe. Plenty of room for parking and both a front and back deck for relaxing. We came with our sneaky toy cavoodle who tried hard but failed to escape from the fully fenced back yard so bravo for that 😁 We also found the washing machine and dryer (Miele) extremely useful Chanelle was a fantastic host- friendly and thoughtful and I would love to come back again

This beautiful quiet, eclectic 3-bedroom home has everything you need - takes you back in time to those lazy homey summer days, outdoor shower, green garden, easy walk to the beach and cafes for scrumptious dinners. We had such a wonderful family time in a quiet but roomy home with all amenities that you need. We listened to the local birds on the front deck, the kitchen has a dish washer and a fantastic chef cook top and oven. We will be back many times through the seasons. Thankyou!!!

The place was clean, comfortable, and just as described. I traveled with my daughter and our dog, and we all felt right at home. Unfortunately, the heavy rain limited our outdoor activities, but it was still a nice and relaxing escape. The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-kept spot to unwind!

Julie and Cliff were friendly and lovely hosts. I did yoga and mediation each morning with Julie in the gorgeous covered outdoor yoga pavilion overlooking the beautiful grounds, which was a wonderful way to begin each day. Julie offered ideas for day trips and supplied maps and detailed instructions which made exploring the gorgeous coast easy. Fresh eggs from the hens and avocados provided for breakfast were appreciated. Even though it was very wet, my little dog and I enjoyed lots of adventures between downpours. My husband and I stayed in Studio 2 for three nights and loved it! The studio was even better in person. Cliff greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. He had the air conditioning on for us because it was hot outside. I had chosen studio 2 because it has a cooktop to cook our meals, an oven and a regular size refrigerator. It also had pots, pans, a rice cooker, plates, bowls, glasses, cups and cutlery, dishwashing liquid, etc. I had hoped to use the gravity water purifier on the bench top, but it took way too long for the water to filter through so we ended up buying water from Stuarts Point Grocery Store which was fine. We enjoyed eating our meals outside. The bed was very comfy. We slept with the window above the bed open to feel the lovely breeze in at night. It was very private, peaceful and quiet. The only noises heard were the rooster, the peacocks and other birds. We greatly enjoyed the heated pool and walking around the property surrounded by the rainforest. We love it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Nature I recently had the pleasure of staying at Yarralen Retreat in Yarrahapinni, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway immersed in nature, this place is a must-visit. Hosts Julie and Cliff are incredible people—they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and attended to all my requests immediately. Their hospitality made my stay even more special. During my visit, I experienced heavy rainfall, which only added to the serene The rainforest is teeming with peacocks, including a rare white peacock, and I was lucky to see a few peachicks as well. One of the highlights is the picturesque pond, covered entirely with lotus flowers, and a short boardwalk over the water—such a tranquil spot! There's also a yoga deck, where Julie holds yoga sessions every morning at 8:00 AM. I didn’t get a chance to join, but it’s a wonderful addition for those looking to practice mindfulness in a natural setting

We had a lovely stay at Alfred’s and Monica’s. Walking distance to North Valla Beach and very peaceful stay. Perfect for exploring Valla and surrounding areas like Bellingen, Nambucca and Urunga. Alfred and Monica were very responsive and kindly unlocked the door when we had a late night check in to save us from fumbling in the dark. Thanks again! 🙏

We enjoyed our stay at Doris’ place. The house was well equipped with everything you need. There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 children. The pool was great. The house is in a good spot, a couple of minutes drive from everything you need. It felt like a quiet and peaceful part of town. If we head back to Nambucca Heads, we’d definitely stay again.

It was great being back at Julie's. so many special touches around the lovely grounds. We had our two little dogs with us this time and they loved it! We always enjoy the magnesium pool. A lovely respite on our way up north.

Julie’s property is an amazing and beautiful place that captures and celebrates the natural surroundings. We enjoyed the walks through the rainforest and around the billabong…just a few steps away from our accommodation. The accommodation was very well presented, easy to access, peaceful and perfect for our short stay. Close enough to the beach and coast, but far enough to feel removed from it all. We loved it and would highly recommend

Had such amazing weekend with friends.. Off grid retreat was so peaceful and beautiful.. such a beautiful setting backing on to national park.. comfortable bedding, nice warm showers.morning coffees and board games was perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better way to relax with friends.. Great beaches and restaurants close by with amazing food. My friends absolutely enjoyed their stay. Suzanne and Harley were really helpful and suggested great places to swim and to eat out. They are great hosts.. We will definitely go back for a weekend away again. Thanks for a lovely stay was very comfortable 😊😊

Marnie was very welcoming and friendly and couldn’t do big to make us comfortable. She was especially kind to the teenager and the two dogs.

The beach is across the road, it's a slice of Byron Bay but without the crowd, such a magical place and plenty to do if you're active and love walking, hiking or just chilling out

We stayed at Aline’s place after 5 days of camping over Easter and it was just what we were looking for, peaceful, off grid, and super comfortable. The place had everything we needed, the bath outdoor was just amazing, and the creek, despite the rain, was a gorgeous spot. It was definitely an adventure for us, being transported with the tractor because the rain had risen the water level too high we couldn’t cross with the car, it was fun! 😀 something to remember for sure. Aline was super responsive and the direction to get there were super easy, and both her and Eppie were such a lovely host, always insuring we had what we needed. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place for your next trip, we really recommend this, because even though it almost rained the whole time, this place has still so much to offer. Anna hosted us last minute after a double booking nightmare on another platform. very friendly and helpful, clear instructions, and greeted us on arrival. The apartment is so spacious and well laid out. It has everything you need, views are stunning, morning and evening. we spotted deer and many birds. It wasn't entirely clear to us that the apartment was the downstairs of a 2 storey house. it still feels quite private and seperate, but worth noting. We had a wonderful and very relaxing stay 😊

This stay was organized at the last minute. I found the quick confirmation for pet friendly accommodation exceptional. The studio room was larger than expected and very comfortable. The location of the park along the break wall /river offered fantastic walking opportunities and the restaurant on site an additional plus.

It was clean and tidy, spacious. Beds were comfy. It was within walking distance of club, shops and cafe's. Highly recommend
