Valtos Cottage

IsobylRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This is a beautiful cottage furnished to a very high standard with spectacular views to Valtos beaches and beyond. The cottage is extremely well equipped with everything needed in the kitchen and throughout the property. We got a lovely surprise on opening the fridge to find a lovely welcome basket inside which was much appreciated. We have just spent a very comfortable and most enjoyable week there. There is ample parking beside the cottage for 2 or more cars. I cannot stress enough what a wonderful location this is for Valtos cottage. Although it is quite remote, there is easy access to several beaches less than an hour away and many of the roads are 2 -way. One small point that we weren’t aware of was the cattle grid at the end of the ungated driveway so we just always had to be careful to keep our young spaniel away from it so it wasn’t a problem.

160 Earsary Self Catering

AliRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Catherine’s house was clean and cosy with everything you needed and more. We are missing the amazing view already. Barra is a small but magical place with so much to see and explore, this is our second visit to the isle and we found lots of new walks and different beaches. 160 Earsary is a great base, near to the supermarket, community store and cafe kisimul!; but very peaceful and away from it all. We would love to return x
A welcoming entrance hallway is captured, featuring a clear glass panel door with decorative patterns. The space is illuminated by natural light, highlighting the tiled floor and a textured doormat. Open doors on either side lead into intimate living spaces.

The Kantara Cottage, Welcome pack on arrival.

AliceRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This cottage was a wonderful home base for exploring the island. Close enough to walk to Portree for meals, but far enough to be out of the hustle & bustle. Easy access to the roads to other parts of the island. The host was very communicative and had useful instructions throughout the house. The ensuite bathrooms with each bedroom made this an especially convenient place for a longer stay. Would definitely stay here again on a future visit.
A vibrant rainbow arcs over the town, with rooftops of houses visible below. The scene features lush greenery and mountains in the background, set against a partially cloudy sky that allows sunlight to filter through.

KANTARA/Self-Catering Portree.ISLE/Of/SKYE.

MarkRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Murdo is a cordial, warm host who went out of his way to see that we made the most of our stay. He made recommendations for dining and touring that were commensurate with our desire to experience the natural beauty of Skye and avail ourselves to dining that was good value for the money. As a native, Murdo is an encyclopedia of knowledge about Isle of Skye. He even invited us to share some of the local seafood catch he made during our stay! His place is very conveniently located for a tour of the Trotternish peninsula and beyond. We stayed at Kantara for 4 nights and found the accommodations to be spacious, with a charming living room that gets afternoon sun and warms the place nicely. Murdo extended every courtesy to us, going above and beyond most of the hosting experiences I’ve encountered over multiple AirBnB listings. The Isle of Skye is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I’ve seen quite a few in my many travels.

NEW! Unique beachfront property in Isle of Lewis

JoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
An absolute stunning house and location with the wow factor the minute you walk through the door. The accommodation is very well though out with everything you could want and more such as yoga mat, blocks and weights, lots of books to read and games to play, although just staring out of the window at the beautiful scenery was our favourite pastime. Annabel is a fantastic host with lots of helpful information, we were even messaged re a red aurora alert one evening. Highly recommend this beautiful place we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

"Driftwood, your Hebridean escape by the sea"

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We spent a wonderful peaceful week at Driftwood, surrounded by stunning scenery and lots of sheep! The house had everything you could need which is so helpful as the location is remote. Dolina was helpful and responsive throughout the booking process and even checked we had arrived safely and had everything we needed. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you for a truly memorable stay in the Outer Hebrides and for all the local recommendations XxxX

The cottage is in a wonderful location - spectacular views right from the front door. It was very cozy and comfortable. It is a great base for exploring the area (Harris is particularly rugged and scenic) and it was also possible to hike from the cottage itself. There is a lovely beach at the end of the road outside the cottage. It was very peaceful and we loved our time there.

Cosy Bungalow on the Isle of Skye

MaryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Pauline's place had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Great kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. The TV was incredible--like a movie theater. The house is centrally located for sightseeing around the island, which is what we wanted, but if you want shopping and nightlife it's not as convenient to Portree.
