Hotel vacation rentals in Mozambique

I took a week to write this review because I wanted to give as much care and attention as we had received on our stay in Mozambeat. To Sisi, Carlos, Mozinho, Eugene, Ray and everyone from the lovely ladies who cleaned our room to the kind gentleman who helped load our bags at 5a.m when we were leaving, THANK YOU, this was more than a good trip with fun activities, great food and amazing beaches, it was an experience that will shape my partner and I for the rest of our lives. The chats with my buddy Mozinho about day to day life in Inhambane, the World Cup and what life is like for me back home, Sisi’s amazing energy(we met some awesome friends we spent the rest of the week with through her), running into Eugene on one of the nights we were out was really fun too, having a drink with someone from the motel was such a plus. Thank you for everything and hope to see you again, truly a magical experience.

Our stay at Mozambeat was just great. The little houses are thoughtfully designed, spacious, clean and super comfortable. The pool is perfect to wait during the hot hours of the day, before or after going out on an ocean safari or to one of the beautiful beaches in the area. Last but not least they were really hospitable, taking care of our broken tyre, changing it and bringing the old one to a nearby mechanic to get it fixed. In the meantime we were able to relax and enjoy our time in Tofo. I really recommend to stay with Sisi and Ray at Mozambeat and would love to come back.

We had a great time at Café Central. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is very good. We had a little problem with the booking as the room we booked on Airbnb was no longer available but they were very responsive and the room they offered us as an alternative was also good. The only thing that it was not so good was the WiFi that didn't work in our room. We have just one suggestion: the outside of the hotel is usually full of children asking tourists for money. Although we are aware of the poverty suffered by many people on the island, often the best way to help these children is not to give them money, even though it is very difficult. We were lucky enough to meet an association ("heartseed") on this island, which is dedicated to helping these children (and also helping them get out of the vicious cycle of getting their money by asking tourists). Their suggestions on the best ways to deal with these kids and help them (without simply handing them money) was very helpful, and we thought it might be helpful for other tourists as well. It seems to us that if Café Central shared with guests some information and tips on this topic, as well as the work of this association (or others that may exist), it could greatly benefit the well-being of the guests, and simultaneously help these children.

Great place with a great vibe. The open roof bathroom is quite fantastic and allows a shower under the stars. Great value for money. We will plan to stay longer next time.

Loved our stay here. The team at Villa Sol E Sal were wonderful. So friendly and organized. They worked so hard to make everything comfortable and clean and tidy for us. The location is a bit noisy at night . But the team at the villa were wonderful and it’s nice a close walk to the beach for a nice swim and some yummy food!

Lovely place in a beautiful location, very much enjoyed our stay.

The cozy bungalow,the workers are always willing to offer you activities and is in a great environment. I would definitely come back. Also, the place makes use of responsible water

A cute and comfortable cabana that fits a small family. MozamBeats hotel has a large and beautful pool and a good breakfast included in the package. Sisi was very easy to communicate with before the check in and overall the staff is very attentive and helpful.

With everything happing at the moment in the country, you might not choose to come. Yet, I can totally recommend this place. It's a beautiful safe island with nice people and bounty-like islands all around. Jörg is very helpful and responive, from the moment I wrote him and during the whole stay. If you're into some adventure and ready to meet kind local people and there culture, come! Jörg place feels like a little oasis nestled underneath two big mango trees.

Our stay at Jefna Lodge surpassed our expecyations. The flexible check in time was appreciated. After a very long and tiring day of driving, the clean and aesthetically pleasing space was welcome. Little extra touches and friendly staff added to the whole experience. The road to Jefna is tough, but the hospitality is worth it. Thank you Nadia, Anton and the rest of the team for being so lovely.

A nice and peaceful lodge in the middle of the forest. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Mika for carrying my bag to the nearest car and I got a ride to the bus station

Very impressed with this place. Had some difficulty finding the place and Amad the owner went out of his way to meet us near by. The resteraunt deck has a great view of the beach and Beira Bay. The room was super and the Aircon helped alot due to humidity. Recommend this place

I enjoyed staying at Kutenga, the hotel looks great on the outside and inside, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Maputo ✌️😎✈️
