Moinhos Beach is a 10-minute walk away and the village of Porto Formoso is 15 minutes away. There are two restaurants in the immediate vicinity, the city of Ribeira Grande - 10 km away - has a supermarket and many other shops. Several tourist attractions nearby (Furnas, Santa Bárbara Beach, Gorreana Tea).

Hi! We are Vitória and Hermínio, a happily married couple from the Azores. We live in Vila Franca do Campo for more than 30 years and we think this is the perfect town in the island to spend some relaxing holidays. Casa das Taipas is a 2-bedroom house in the heart of Vila Franca, right in front of the sea with an outsanding view to the Atlantlic Ocean and Ilhéu, a volcanic islet known among the villagers as the Princess Ring. Our Retreat is a rural nineteenth-century house, restored with the desire to conserve the time of construction characteristics. Not only did we keep the main structure of the house, but also the fire oven and the respective chimney, the mill of wine production and the basalt stone floor . And, to finalize we added a suspended living room - literally a glass cube.
