House vacation rentals in Moss Beach

Very homey and welcoming. Family enjoyed celebrating time together in all spaces of the house, especially the back patio where our young child made believe on the well-designed pirate ship. Friendly, kind host. We walked to adorable Rockridge and BART many times. Highly recommended.

Gwen’s place was great!! Spacious with a very nice backyard with a pool. I wish we had more time to enjoy it!!

Wow - we had an amazing stay and loved Job's beautiful home. The photos barely capture the incredible views. 180 degrees views of Mt. Tam all the way down to the Bay - truly on top of world. Pool was bigger than expected, warm water, great covered porch, VERY nice pool house/bedroom & bath. All beds were super comfortable, everything sparkling clean and living room was such a great and comfy area to watch movies or just look at the view with a good book. Kitchen is outfitted (and labeled) with everything you need. Very close to San Anslemo downtown - which is filled with great lunch spots, coffee shops. So much to do in Marin and this is centrally located (note a steep driveway but we had no issues.) Can't think of a single improvement Job could make. I left something behind and he responded that day that he would ship back to me. One of our most favorite Airbnbs ever. THANK YOU!

Fabulous trip! We were greeted warmly by Jana and settled easily into the spaces of this large character home on a quiet cul de sac. It worked perfectly for our group of four. We loved the peaceful feeling of being on the water and the nearby pathways along the bay; it's lovely to sit outside to read and sip something. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it is very well-equipped. We got in some great hikes and meals at Mt. Tam, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Fairfax and Pt. Reyes as well as a SFMOMA day in the city. A wonderful location! Don't hesitate.

Amazing property & setting, absolutely loved the pool, sport court, etc. Hosts were communicative & easy, will certainly be back for another warm-weather escape.

We were in Half Moon Bay for a wedding and we felt like we had the best airbnb out of the guests for our family (which included a couple kids under 3). Lots of the kids to do, Tom was responsive in confirming that a crib was available and even offered to assemble baby gates for us. Would certainly stay here again!

What a serene respite away into such a calm, beautiful, thoughtful space. Pack what you need and just stay awhile, the environment is one where you never want to leave. Very comfy bed, such thoughtful decor, and a calming outdoor space. It's tucked into a little neighborhood in Bolinas with dirt roads and the best smells imaginable : ) that's west Marin for you. Alina is an incredible host.

My team had a wonderful time at Stefan's place! The ocean views are magical and the house is very spacious. Incredible spot about an hour away from SF and Palo Alto. Stefan was very communicative and friendly. Check-in and check-out were simple. Very clear house rules. No complaints at all! We will definitely be back.

The house worked out great for our 3-night family gathering of 7 people. The house is well located, easy to find and near the beach. The kitchen/dining area had an adjacent seating area where we could all comfortably gather, eat and talk, which was great. One of the bedrooms was on the ground floor which worked well for elderly grandparents. The other bedrooms are all upstairs, the layout has seating areas that added a little extra privacy. We only prepared 2 meals in the kitchen during our stay and found the kitchen adequately provisioned. Half Moon Bay was a delightful destination, very relaxing beach vibe, we drove to Pescadero, got pie at Duarte's, visited to goats at Harley farm, got warm at a fire pit at the Ritz, shopped downtown and ate at a few local restaurants.

The listing is a great location right next to beach access. The space had more than enough bedrooms and bathroom with a laundry room. It has a tankless water heater so hot water is infinite.

Ruth’s home in Moss Beach was a perfect second stop on our California road trip. Her home was immaculate and she herself was so welcoming- fresh flowers and fresh sour dough bread. We loved walking the trail out to the beach and there were even baby seal pups to watch, Ruth graciously left us some binoculars and a map to help find them. We enjoyed the quiet and convenient location to several spots in the area- Muir Woods, Carmel, 17 Mile Drive etc. Our only complaint is we wish we had more time. Thank you for a wonderful and restful home to stay in.

We absolutely loved our stay at Katia’s house! The home is beautiful, with stunning ocean views, spotless cleanliness, and a warm, comfortable feel enhanced by aesthetically pleasing decor. The beds were perfect, with excellent blankets, linens, and towels, and the showers were fantastic. Every room had its own heater, which was great. The kitchen was both beautiful and well-equipped, with thoughtful treats waiting for us. The location was ideal, and the local information Katia provided helped us make the most of our time out and about. The backyard fire pit looked amazing—unfortunately, we couldn’t use it due to the weather, but we hope to experience it on a future visit! We truly appreciated Katia’s attention to detail, her thoughtfulness, and the care she put into ensuring every need was met. Our stay was incredibly relaxing, enjoyable, and comfortable. We felt lucky to have booked her place, were sad to leave, and would absolutely love to return!

The house was spacious and had a great view. Checking in was smooth. The dip in the driveway was the first surprise upon arriving. We did get a warning, but even pulling in slowly did not prevent our vehicle (Toyota Sequoia) from scraping underneath. I have to be honest and say that even though the house is great, it really hasn’t been maintained well. The pictures on the listing are somewhat accurate, but if I had seen the house in its current state, I probably would have chosen another rental in the area, especially at the price we paid. The house wasn’t filthy, but there was clearly a spilled drink in the middle of the kitchen that was just left to dry and become sticky, which made me question how clean the house actually was. The towels were just rolled up and thrown on the towel racks. The couches were pretty dirty. There were horrible paint touchups all over the walls and the yards needed to be better maintained. The house served its purpose, but I honestly felt a little misled.

A beautiful house, we had a lovely stay in the most beautiful setting, what an incredible area. Trish was easy to communicate which made everything really easy, even though it was short notice. Trish was really helpful with dropping off bags early. Thank you so much!

This is an exceptional home. The pictures don’t do the sunsets, ocean or the mountain view justice. The house itself is immaculate and up to date. It had everything in it you would need. I was impressed with the responsiveness of the host. The house and neighborhood are beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again.

This was the perfect getaway place. My wife also invited her best friend and husband. Plenty of room that the girls could break away and have private discussion time, leaving the guys to just hang, relax, snooze or surf! Great view of the ocean, and with the windows opened could still hear the light roar of the Ocean in the distance.

This was the perfect home for our family! Right between Half Moon Bay and Montara- it was the perfect location near all the best beaches and restaurants. Very kid friendly, my nephews had a blast on the trampoline and swing set! The host was wonderful and accommodating offering many suggestions for things to do and see. We absolutely loved our time here and would recommend to any family looking to get away!

Staying at the Sea Wolf Bungalow was one of the most special experiences of my life. From vendor recommendations to her calming presence, Kim went above and beyond to help create a perfect moment. She welcomed us with such warmth—it felt like staying with family. The bungalow itself is peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly nestled in nature. The stunning seaside views, colorful tide pools, and sightings of whales, seals, and other wildlife made every moment feel magical. Kim’s local insight into trails, sights, and hidden gems only added to the experience. The Sea Wolf Bungalow will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and I feel incredibly grateful for the memories made there and for the chance to get to know Kim. We had the most amazing time at Matt’s place. The house itself is quite literally a grownup-size treehouse perched on a steep hill (the 100+ stairs to get to the door went through a true character arc from a nemesis to a good old friend over three days we stayed there), incredibly beautiful and worthy all the praise it receives here. The furniture and material choices, the thoughtful details, the variety of charming nooks and corners to cozy up and get comfortable in—everything is there to make you feel at home. With hiking trails quite literally steps from the backyard the house is drowning in lush, whispering greenery—hearing birds sing in the morning and hummingbirds buzzing at sunset was my favorite. Truly a rare find—this is not “an airbnb”, instead it felt like a good friend’s house that’s well loved and lived in, making it a very memorable stay. Thank you Matthew and family.
