We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

nice and quiet place to spend a few days. we were able to regularly enjoy the pool, tennis court and barbecue available.

In the 40+ places I have stayed on Airbnb, Steph’s is one of the very best. A huge and private space, beautifully and artistically decorated and furnished, full of quirky decor, and the most lovely welcome. From freshly cut flowers from Steph’s garden, arranged in a vase, a little posy of fresh herbs in a vase in the kitchen, dinner and breakfast for your first night/morning provided, big fluffy towels, amazing shower, the list goes on. The outdoor space is divine. I spent a lazy afternoon watching swallows dipping in and out of the pool and butterflies everywhere. The sweeping views of the valley are so calming. It was unseasonably cold when we were there and Steph very thoughtfully messaged to check we had enough firewood (we did, so well stocked). Steph & Dave were amazing hosts, gave us complete privacy but so friendly and easy to chat to when we saw them when we were coming and going. Perfect for couples or for young families, I really hope we get the opportunity to return.

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). We stayed in this house for a weekend, we had a wedding at the castle of Lerse (5-10 min by car). Beautiful spacious house, perfectly equipped and clean. Very peaceful location. Josiane was very welcoming and very responsive during exchanges. Thanks again for the little attention.

It is a really wonderful place. The house is in perfect condition and the kitchen is stocked very well to cook whatever you want. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot to hang out there and enjoy the warm weather. So there is really nothing to say negative about the house! It is a fantastic place to give you lots of privacy even if the house is crowded. The one thing which gave us a little hick-up was the question about the deposit which is not mentioned in the terms on Airbnb, or I was not able to see it! Anyway after consultation it seems to be legitimate that a deposit can be asked for! It would just be nice to know from the beginning. Even knowing from the beginning it would have not changed my decision to rent the house. It is an amazing beautiful house and I would definitely rent it again!

Our week’s stay at La Chaise was absolutely lovely! The property is very well equipped with everything you could possible need and is clean, tidy and uncluttered. The pool is perfect and exactly what we were after with 4 children to entertain. Would definitely return.
