Monthly Rentals in Montara State Beach

Location is perfect for staying across the pristine Pacific Ocean! Even with your own balcony you can enjoy the sunset to. Was very generous in snack and drink freebies! Easy access to airbnb and host was easily available to reach out for help. Definitely a nice hidden gem for exploration between Half Moon Bay and Pacifica even beyond! Also for the price it's worth the stay! Highly recommend to anyone without a doubt!

The home is very nice and homey it has stunning views, and great location. Easy hike to the beach. From the back deck you can even hear the crashing waves. Would definitely come back.

Stayed at Judy's place for three nights for the last part of our California vacation. The house is an easy drive from San Francisco (30-40 min, depending on traffic) so we got a chance to hang out at the Golden Gate park and do all the usual touristy things at Presidio (Pier 39, the GG bridge itself, etc.), but it also gave us a chance to explore some beautiful local places. Montara State Beach is small but nice; there are a lot of convenient overlooks and parking on the way to SF where one could stop and hike down to the beach and watch the dolphins (we saw a pod swimming by one day). Do visit the JV Fitzgerald marine reserve if you have time - it's only a 5 min drive, and it has a bunch of harbor seals hanging around! We saw about 40 adult seals and several pups, both as they were lounging on the beach and "porpoising" in the ocean. The house itself is pleasant, the garden is small but beautiful, and Judy is a very helpful and responsive host who made our stay very pleasant.
