“We had a wonderful time at Charle's cabin. Beautiful location, directly alongside the creek, cabin was very clean, and a lot of thoughtful touches in place. My 2 and 4 year old would have played in the creek all day if we let them! Perfect relaxing getaway and close to Ricketts Glen and Worlds End State Park where we had great hikes. Charles was a gracious host and very quick to respond to questions. We will definitely be back!”
Come relax in the mountains in this beautiful old schoolhouse turned into a cottage. One large open space for guests to enjoys each other company. Fully furnished. Sleep 6. But plenty of room for air mattresses. Outside fire pit along with pot belly stove on porch for those chilly nights. Very quaint and charming. Plenty of local restaurants within 10 miles and a few wineries to visit.
“Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Danielle's beautiful home. Time spent at the house was as much a part of our vacation as the hiking we enjoyed! Our kids loved the bed nooks upstairs, the chalkboard, time on the screened-in porch, making s'mores by the fire, exploring outside, and the spiral staircase. We really appreciated the porch, too, as well as the cozy pot-bellied stove on the porch and the fireplace inside. The living space was well designed and comfortable, and provided everything we needed for a week-long stay. Danielle was a great host who provided quick answers to our questions and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely consider returning the next time we're in the area.”

“The pictures don’t do this place justice - it’s even more beautiful and incredibly relaxing. Inside, the house has so many charming touches of the owners travels, a very large and spacious kitchen, multiple fireplaces, and floor to (high) ceiling windows. The castle theme gave the place a fun and unique vibe. The house is divided into three wings, so since we stayed as a couple we got one of the three private wings, while the owner stayed in another wing completely separate from us. We had plenty of privacy and had the entire outdoors to ourselves. The owner informed us that if we stayed in larger group we would have gotten an additional wing. Outside, there is tons to do. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, and we took the paddle boat out for a relaxing ride down the lake. We also hiked around the lake, which was easy, fun, and had gorgeous views. Inside, there’s a tv with basic cable and Netflix, a boat house with games like pool, shuffleboard, and ping pong, and WiFi, so even on a bad weather day you have plenty to occupy yourself with. The one thing to keep in mind is that because it is a lake house in the woods, there are bugs outside (primarily we dealt with wasps and spiders). We did feel a bit more could have been done to clear the many cobwebs from the outdoor furniture. But they do a good job of keeping the bugs out of the house; we didn’t see anything larger than an ant or a gnat indoors. Tom and Adelane were easy to communicate with, friendly, and helpful. They are fantastic hosts and we would love to stay again.”
