Kagoshima Spa & Retreat “Meow Ken” <Comfort>

RachelRating, 5 stars24 months ago
Our stay at Shoji's family onsen was delightful. Shoji was so communicative and helpful. We picked his place based on proximity to the airport but didn't realize how remote it is and how infrequently the busses run. Shoji cheerfully offered to pick us up from the train station and to take us to the airport early the next morning. He gave us a personalized tour of the facility and made us feel so welcome! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and we enjoyed hiking around the surrounding hills. Definitely recommend renting a car or having plenty of time to get in and out before and after staying there, but we are so glad we were able to make it to this location thanks to Shoji. Highly recommended!

Free parking,☆ walk to delicious restaurants on Uenouri-dori Street☆, relax in a☆ hammock

Check-in and check-out required a witness, but the rain caused a significant change in plans, and when I contacted them to say that I wanted to check in early, they gladly accepted. He was a calm and good person who chatted lightly and seemed like he would get along with you right away. I was with my toddler, and I was grateful for the thoughtfulness of having toys and picture books available. It was in a quiet location, not too close to the downtown area, but not too far away.I felt that the quality was good for the price! I would like to stay again if I have the opportunity.

Entire room rental plan [5-minute walk to the sea] Guest House Goofy

Rating, 5 stars8 months ago
Anyway, the owner is friendly, kind and bright! The stranger children were immediately nostalgic. The room is also beautiful, the futon is fluffy, and everything is clean. There were three toilets inside and outside, so it was good not to wear them with other people. There was also a washer and dryer! In addition, there is a frying pan, pot, kettle, knife, cutting board, frying pan, etc. in the common area, so I was able to bring and make ingredients.I brought a lot of water bottles with my family, so it was good that I wanted to bring tea and put it in! I would recommend an entire room for a family. Kanagahama was also just a short walk away, Kokura Beach was also short, and it was easy to access Tochinomachi! There were murals outside as if they were in a surfing pipe and a surfboard to ride before, and the kids enjoyed the shoot. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Oceanfront Oasis for Nomads, sunset, dulphine etc.

稲葉幸太郎Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
It was a lovely experience, as if I was living by the sea. The moment I opened the window, I was captivated by the spectacular view of Kinko Bay and the gentle flow of time.Wake up to the sound of waves in the morning, read or work while watching the sea from the balcony in the afternoon, and take a deep breath while being enveloped by the golden sunset in the evening. It was a time when everything liberated the five senses and I could return to nature and myself. The room is clean, quiet and relaxing. The desk overlooking the sea was ideal for nomadic work, and it felt like I was working while interacting with nature. The consideration for organic living and the host's polite and warm hospitality further enhanced the charm of this place. It was a valuable place to experience "another way of life".I highly recommend this inn for those who love the sea and sky, those who want to free their thoughts, and those who want to find themselves.

A colorful and unique guest house in a renovated old house

俊翔Rating, 5 stars4 months ago
Because it was too late to let the host, etc., but it was still very patient to guide me to the accommodation, and especially came out waiting for me to help with my luggage, thank the host for being so accommodating. The first time a dog is ordering a room, the daylight city room is fantastic! There is a kitchen, refrigerator, bowls and chopsticks, and the host is also very enthusiastic about the indoor usable environment and equipment!Right because it was cold and there was a heater to use!!!!!!!!!! The toilet is especially straight through the septic tank like a mao potty, it's a special experience but the smell doesn't drift up to the room, it's a great experience! But fear of having a clean habit, or don't specially experience it, haha! Thanks to host and warm place to stay

Thanks Kenji for the warm welcome and hospitality. We loved this house in front of the fishing port. We were within walking distance to train stations, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants and the beach. We hope to have the pleasure of returning to the Miyazaki area on our next trip to Japan!

For dinner, we enjoyed a Japanese-style dining experience at the Sorano-niwa, which was introduced to us.At the beach right next to the guest house, I enjoyed watching the surfers play with the waves from early morning. The beach was in front of me, but I couldn't hear the sound of the waves in the guest house, and I had a relaxing and quiet stay.Thank you very much.

Shima Hama Home

The location of the house is the thing we appreciated the most. It’s on a quiet street along the harbor which makes for calm and peaceful nights. Walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. The host, Kenji, is also very friendly. You can tell he cares about the comfort and safety of his guests. We hope to stay again.
