The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There is a wood-burning stove.

Our detached house is located directly on the water, with a connection to the Zuidlaardermeer. In the neighborhood you will find everything you need for a successful stay: beach, cozy terraces, natural parks, charming villages, theme parks and wellness resorts. The bustling city of Groningen can be reached in less than 20 minutes by car or train! The house is the perfect base to explore the area in any season, but at the house and in the spacious garden it is wonderfully relaxing!

Downstairs are play corners for children and guests are allowed to use the gym where CrossFit lessons are also provided. Behind the school is a great place with sandpit and picnic table where you look out over the Groningen fields. Relax while your children enjoy themselves!

Had a great stay. Wonderfully quiet and comfortable. Also a great place to work in peace, for example or enjoy hiking nearby. K is a very pleasant host. In addition, the cottage is even more fun and cozy in the photos. Recommended!

The stay was very good, was nicely received, the wood-burning stove was already preheated. A really very cozy place to stay. And the breakfast was excellent, rarely get such a good and loving breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lea’s place. It’s a spacious, cozy home with everything you need present. The kitchen was well equipped and there are books and games, and not to miss the great garden. The only thing we didn’t like was the curtains that let all light through - but after giving this as feedback Lea immediately thanked me for the tip and told me she will change it. Great host! Would recommend booking :)

We were here for the second time and it was great again. Wonderful sitting outside and good use of the old but still fine bicycles. Nice walk. The chalet is also large enough inside, for the 6 of us. Good and pleasant communication with Jolanda and Martin. I'm sure we'll come back sometime!
